MakeupBy Amy that primer is so good and I use it so many ways!!! I use it so often and the bottle is still over half full. I love it tapped onto the tops of my cheeks as a liquid highlight and I sometimes set it with a powder highlight, perfect! I mix it into my more matte foundations and it’s so nice and several more applications! PF is so good and I was a huge fan before KZbin was even a thought! My KMart had the biggest PF section and display. When my mom would break down and actually buy some for me OMG you couldn’t tell me a thing! I was the stuff!

I just bought the Physician's formula foundation and have worn it only once, and so far, I love it. I have dry, mature skin and it seems like it is a good 'fit' for me so far. I would never buy a @120.00 foundation, I'd be too worried I'd break the bottle or use it all up too fast or something, lol. Great video, Jess! Would love to see more dupes!

This physician formula is so awesome . When i need it more matte I'll cover with elf hd powder, when i want it lighter more looked tinted moisturizer I'll actually mix it into my moisturizer. Very versatile. Most times i use it under my eyes and it covers dark circles nicely. Glad to see a video on it🙂

For those who want added benefits similar to la mer, you can mix in The ordinary marine HA serum or derma e purifying youth serum with marine algae and green tea. Or just prep the skin with those (my preferred method)or something like it. La mer isn't the only one with these types of ingredients. I really like it with the Catrice glow primer as well. It's also nice to see that PF made more than 3 or 4 shades! Thank you Jessica for mentioning this. There are so many things you can do with 120 bucks! If you are going to spend that type of money for something for your face, I highly recommend going to r/skincareaddiction. They have some amazing product recommendations for every skin type! They also find great dupes for many skin care favorites. You will be happier with your makeup if you take just a bit of time to and put into skin care. Just my opinion. BTW Jessica, my best to you and your family! Your daughter is adorable. Just, some from love from another midwestern lady who is enjoying fall, and trying not to think about what my heating bill will be like this winter!

Ohhh Jess, you are the BEST!!! I am just finalizing my last purchases for the Rouge sale at Sephora and I can't even tell you how many times I have put Le Mer in and taken it out of my cart. I struggle with wanting every new and or older make up high end, luxury and drugstore that looks interesting. It is so hard being me!!! LOL! In any case you are a life saver as I really feel I have no place making such a ridiculously expensive purchase regardless of the name on the bottle and hype surrounding it. I do have The PF foundation and also think it is beautiful on my skin, lasts all day and is much easier to swallow financially. And damn, I can almost always gwet it on sale but even when I am due for a new bottle I don't cringe if it is full price. All this being said, I am going to just pass at least for now so thanks so much for being here at the perfect time with the perfect review. My go-to foundation is Estee Lauder Double Wear. At $42 it's my boldest splurge. I've loved it for 15 years. Best friend tried the La Mer. When I asked how she felt about it, she said it was nothing to brag about, maybe in the "okay" range. Thanks for your review. I'm going to try the Physician's Formula. Thank you Jessica, I ran out of my La Mer in the early spring. I felt I deserved to buy it for me but hesitated. So for the summer I bought Lancome tinted moisturizer. Today I decided I must order my La Mer foundation and searched for a better deal. Not one out there. I then asked Goggle " What is there a comparable foundation to La Mer?" You popped up. Thank you. The physicians formula was a foundation I’ve waited to try didn’t think it was my thing. I found it on sale and scooped it up. The last couple of days at work and got huge compliments on my skin. Thank you so much for all the reviews you do, and especially the dupes/comparable alternatives. I have a very small make-up collection. I would say about half of what I've purchased is because of your recommendations (like the Persona eye shadow palette, Lash Paradise, Lash Princess, the Dose of Color glosses). I don't wear make-up often. If I do, it's usually some mascara, lip gloss, and maybe eyeliner. Foundation and eye shadow are rare for me. I don't even own a concealer. That's just because of the amount of energy I feel like spending on application and then for removal; for me, I like super low maintenance, and save the extra effort for special occasions, plus I'm very happy with my skin and put all that energy into my skin care routine. I even found Paula's Choice because of you, and my skin looks great after using PC for... okay, I pulled up my order history, and my first purchase from them was Sept 2015, so over three years! I remember that video when you were still in your old apartment with Sequan the sequin owl pillow. I waited a few months to make the purchase because at the time the brand was just a little out of my budget, but a few months later I could make the purchase and have been so glad that I've made room for them in my checkbook. I discovered Kon Mari through you! All of this is to say, thank you for all the work you do here on YT. You've helped me have a very curated collection, and introduced me to some very valuable cosmetics, skin care, and lifestyle changes. Maybe you should mix it with a little bit of a different foundation that's too light? Or get a lighter one and mix them. Unless you're at the very lightest in the shade range, which in that case, I'd just mix it with a different foundation.

Awesome I've been using a dupe of a "bougie" foundation. Honestly at first I literally was trying to figure out how to make it work and now I reach for the Healthy Foundation nearly everytime I put makeup on. That, a little Maybelline fit me loose powder, concealer, bronzer and highlight and I feel so beautiful. And the foundation looks the same when I get home as when I put it on!

My mom would do this with generic brands cereals and orange juice. I would then do it to my kids 😂 I would never do that to a client, imagine that client going to buy that brand cause they like it. I don’t know I would feel cheated, I saw a stylist do this with shampoo, conditioner, and treatment, they up charge that freaking treatment. When I saw her do it I never went back. I can buy the expensive stuff my self and use it numerous times. Don’t do it you don’t know if the client would be familiar with the scent and give you away.
