Nikol: I purchased the Joah Truly Yours about 3 weeks ago and I really do like it. Even though it's light weight I still cannot wear it when going outside in summer...have to do a powder based foundation but when I am inside or for evening this product is great! Same thing for me with the samples with Lamer. Lamer seems to really be the best. I know it's expensive, but my skin is gorgeous after using Lamer skin care. A less expensive alternative would be awesome! I have been using glycolic acid peels for years after I participated in a trial for it. It keeps my skin beautiful, and you can use the least expensive peel as long as it is glycolic acid. Retinol and vitamin c, as well as SPF and my Lamer moisturizer which repairs the flakey skin during the period after I do a peel - really keeps me looking and feeling great. The difference is remarkable. To have the Lamer foundation is such a plus. It's like my own skin! It gives radiance without looking oily, it stays in place on my oily skin. I only use it when i need to look polished and sophisticated. Otherwise i don't use foundation, with my skincare routine i really don't have to!! CVS dupes are awesome as well. Their skincare line is just as good as anything that is priced ten times more. The ingredients are very comparable - except there is no alternative dupe for the lamer magic broth! But its close!

I am going to go grey after 30 years of dye-ing and my husband is not happy but i am so he will learn to live with it :) I was wondering if it would be possible to let us know what concealer and finishing product you would use with all of these foundations. That would be SOOO helpful. I have been using the bobbi brown for a year now and it's okay. Wouldn't say i love it. But might try the others. thank you.

Well done. Very informative. I do love the LaMer product but will check out Bobbi Brown. LaMer in Canada runs around $158 before tax making the price is a bit ouchy. Thank you for your reviews - they are always realistic and fun to watch ❤️

Thank You Nikol for the time spent on finding these dupes. I have never tried any of the four foundations but look forward to trying a clue of them. The LaMer foundation is simply beautiful and one I would love to try. However, not being able to afford such a high end foundation , I will have to settle for one of the dupes. Ahahahaha. I love the light weight look of all these foundations and the coverage also. I was surprised. I just found your channel and I am so glad I did, because not only do you preach about beauty , but your skin says you do. Just flawless. I live in the west of ireland and can't get these products here. BUT, I am going to be in chicago next week to visit my sister and I'm going to Target to buy copious amounts of the covergirl elixir foundation! I'm going to be absolutely fabulous upon my return to wet and windy Ireland whereupon I will be revealing my new grey hair style that nobody has a clue about! I think the Joah Truly Yours foundation is being discontinued. I can only find it on their website and it's only available in 4 or 5 dark shades. The Covergirl Healthy Elixir doesn't exist anymore. Bummer. After all, this video was made 2 1/2 years ago. xo~linda

I just stumbled upon your youtube channel and I am really enjoying your videos! You might want to checkout The Ordinary's serum foundation. I ordered it and was super skeptical because I figured that for $6.70 there was no way that it would be a decent foundation however I was super impressed. It is lightweight, has that traditional serum feel and has decent coverage. A little goes a long way and I will always keep a bottle in my makeup bag.
