Hello. I’m so glad I found your channel. You are literally the only plus size travel blogger that I have found. I’m going to be flying to Europe for the first time in my life and I am really nervous about how comfortable the flight will be. I’m 5’5 250 pounds and I carry my weight mostly in my stomach and chest. I also have really broad shoulders as well. Because of that, regular airplane seats have never been comfortable. My friend and I decided to do first class with Delta on our US portion of the flight and Delta one on the longer version overseas. I feel like I’ll be OK there. However, for my 2 intra European flights I have regular seats. Both of those flights are only about 2-2 1/2 hours. I’m hoping that I have no one next to me to get some extra space. Now due to some complications and Delta being assholes and changing flights for my return Amsterdam to sfo 11 hours I’m in KLM premium comfort. Have you ever flown that? If so were you comfortable enough? I chose an aisle seat since I read that the armrest would go down and I’m hoping there’s no one in the middle seat. Major anxiety about it especially since I’m stuck there while my friend has the business class seat because she paid with cash and I played with Miles and they could care less about those of us who are ‘loyal skymiles’ customers. Any tips or tricks for flying while plus sized would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, thank you so much for watching! So to answer your questions as far as the intra euro flights, think southwest seats. At 6’2 my knees were definitely cramped but as far width I was okay. I flew from Helsinki to London which was a couple hours in length. Definitely not fun but I survived. Now to the big one, depending on the aircraft you are, which should be one of their 787 variants, you should be okay. Ultimately it’s an economy seat with more legroom. The closest thing would be the British airways premium economy video on my channel, but if I remember klm does 3x3x3 prem Econ. The best advice I can give is to ask at check in if they have any business class upgrades for cash. It’s not cheap but I’ve gotten some premium to biz upgrades for $500-$600 usd. The old config does really suck :( but hard to believe just 8 years ago 2-2-2 business was standard and accepted. The service cuts by legacy carriers has been awful especially the food. Using covid as an excuse has been sad considering Air Canada serves hot food with proper glassware on their express CRJs… great review anyways Taylor

Its amazing how far we've come and how high of a standard we hold the legacy carriers to... I just hope that these airlines will stop showcasing a product that has a high likelihood of not being flown
