I think I stayed in the same room having an upgrade. I basically closed my annual fee for the card in one trip to Vegas: 200$ hotel credit+125$ F&B credit+ Breakfast for 1+ Welcome amenity at the bar, 60$ baggage fee (if I'm not mistaken), food and drinks in the Centurion lounge which I value over 150$ for both the outbound and returned flight (yes, I do like to drink wine and it's expensive at the airport)

Definitely liked this format over the talking head ones. The normal format is great for getting "breaking" type information out, but these longer format videos help us understand visually what is going on and experience some of it vicariously through you.

I used The Hotel Collection to stay at the Charter hotel downtown Seattle. Got upgraded to their biggest suite, got the $200 annual credit towards the rooms, plus a $100 credit towards valet (thank God, because Valet was $55 a day). On top of that I have gold status through the card (having stayed 0 nights this year at Hilton) and they gave us a $15 credit per person per day for breakfast. $390 in value in one stay without taking into consideration the suite upgrade cost. However, this was super enlightening because I thought those benefits were 2 nights minimum and only annual to get the perks. I didn't realize the FHR properties don't have a 2 night minimum. And it's just the $200 credit that's annual, not the $100 experience credit. Can't wait to do this next time I go to Vegas!

Had an FHR stay booked at the Crockfords this past weekend. After watching the video last week, I went back to check my reservation. First off, the price had dropped quite a bit so I cancelled and re-booked at the lower rate. I wanted to try Seb's big-brain upgrade plan, but there were no suites available. Still, for a $9 difference figured I'd enjoy the strip view at least and hope for the best. At check-in, a quick scan of the app showed the entire hotel was sold out so I wasn't even going to inquire about an upgrade, but lo and behold we somehow got proactively bumped up to a 1 BR suite! What a serendipitous video, thanks Seb!

I got this for free last wk!!They said we had to wait bec no room available and was offered a food credit and i requested to get full credit for resort fee instead since i already had so much credit from FHR and being a gold hilton status. They gave me the resort fee credit. Waited 2 hrs no room available still so i was upgraded to the suite room for free!!!!! I didnt pay anything!! Not even the resort fee! Also i booked the $164 one.

It's true. I thought the Credit card game would increase the line for TSA/Pre-check or Clear but I realized that many people did not bother getting it or they forgot that they had it or the extra work of TSA/Pre-check when you book a flight so many people don't ultilize their TSA/Pre-check or Clear benefit. Some people even stored their TSA/Pre-check documents somewhere and forgot where they stored it.

Actually just booked my flights to Vegas, in December 😂. Been browsing options on FHR. Got a few Qs: 1. Even though Mirage has been acquired by Hard Rock, would they still honor MGM status? 2. I did the Hyatt match to MGM gold, suppose to have free parking and $100 dinning credits? TIA!

The $100 dining credit at MGM requires actual play at casino before getting it. There is free Valet and no resort fee for the Gold Card. Right they are honoring MGM status but dunno at Dec, you will have to call them. Don't forget to make reservations at Ethel M Chocolate Factory for Free Xmas lighting garden.

I wish Las Vegas Resorts World had better breakfast options. You're pretty much limited to the small menu at Suns Out Buns Out and the sit-down restaurant across the way. I never pay for a room in Vegas because I have the loyalty cards for, well, pretty much all the hotels. RW just doesn't measure up to Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo.

Do you think a standard two queen at crockfords is worth it compared to a 1br suite (1100sqft) at Conrad? The only space for upgrade at crockfords is to a crockfords west 1br suite (850sqft)

YMMY honestly at Crockford, they are notoriously stingy about giving upgrades to Diamond members and even FHR or... FHR AND Diamond. They had a bunch of suites available during our stays (I know that since most of them are still bookable), but they didn't upgrade us till we ran into an issue in our original room.

I have the Platinum but I also have the Hilton Aspire since both pay for themselves in the credits (but overlap in a lot of areas as well). I am curious in this situation, if you had both card, which would you use since this is a HIlton property and you get Diamond with the Hilton Apsire. I know you get credit in the US with the Hilton rather thanfree breakfast. I just stayed at Hilton in Amsterdam and was upgraded to a nice canal view room on the top floor and the free breakfast was amazing.

Amex FHR is prepaid, so you only pay for the additional stuff at checkout. You get the Hilton Honor points without paying with the card, so the Amex makes more sense.

Normally I am in line with you but on this one nope not the Crockfords. I have done FHR at both the CONRAD and Crockfords at this property. First time was opening weekend for the hotel so it did not go as planned but hey first weekend so cut them some slack. Go back about five months later to Crockfords, pay more, expect a better experience and nope the same and worse. Basically Crockfords did not honor the FHR terms and conditions and made the trip really suck. From now on not going to do that side of town anymore. FHR at all the other properties are mind blowing good but this Hilton property is dead to me. I am a Dimond member to boot so I guess it is off to the Waldorf if I need a Hilton spot. First world problems but if you spend the money you expect the listed service so not wasting a third time with this place with SO MANY other options that are overall better.

Ti like your videos! I have a question: Where can I find the original offer deal when I log into my AMEX account? I see the standard rewards, e.g., the Uber, Saks, Flights, etc., but I want to see the 125,000 points goal, what I signed up for. It’s not in the docs I received with the card and I can’t find it anywhere on my account (not under membership rewards, account information, etc.) . When I call AMEX, they can tell me, but why can’t I access this myself? Once I hit the $6,000 spend, what if they tell me, “Sorry, you were offered 100,000.” ? Thanks!
