If they actually gave it the 1200hp engine that the production version would have had, then I could see this thing being fairly decent at like 10.3-10.7, but no. We get the insta-powercrept, gimped prototype that will probably only ever be a niche pick, at best.

As someone who plays Britain quite a bit I am very used to this type of vehicle and although I do extremely well in the challengers and chieftains I do agree that they are extremely boring. This thing does have an m1a1 turret though so hull down it’s kind of a menace

@@ZzVinniezZ I would say the thing that’s the worst about it is not the speed it’s the agility the poor reverse speed and hull traverse speed makes for a vehicle that’s very unforgiving if you end up in a tight spot that being said it has a really good weapons platform kinda similar to later centurion variants where they have a stabilized 105mm with good darts and thermals and LRFs but the chassis is terrible so the BR stays pretty low despite the powerful weapons

The historical background of this vehicle is that the U.S. company, General Dynamics, in the early 2000s thought about: instead of exporting the M1A1 as a whole, they should just take out the turret and slap it on an M60 hull, especially that some of the countries that were gonna buy the export abrams already operated the M60, and it was supposed to have a better and stronger engine, but the whole project was scrapped and it never saw the light of day in real combat...And I'm glad it didn't...

I've heard that it was supposed to have the upgraded version of the engine with 1200 hp instead of the 750 hp engine. But Gaijin gave us the 750 hp engine instead.

@@diprosla592 I actually wouldn't be surprised, as there are other names for this vehicle, like the MBT 2000. Perhaps they'll do something like how they have the MBT-70/XM803. Hopefully both are in the regular tech tree if that happens, but you know how Gaijin is.

They never instaled 1200hp engine it was only proposal, same as making t90m have -16 speed was only proposal and thats why its not in game

I have had a great time with this tank and 4 modules from spading it. I did ace the crew from the start of my grind and I have killed enemies trying to push out to get me not realizing I had a 5 second reload and just pop them with a top tier dart against 9.0 in a full down tier. I like that you can now run a 10.0 lineup with the Bradley Lav Stryker and Wolfpack and I also have the CCVL and not have to run a 10.3 MBT and for CAS I find the AV8C is really good over using the premium a10a and now you have a lineup also to bring the AH-1F. I run a 10.0 and a 10.3 lineups separately now and really like it

I Like the later Pattons (M60 onwards) The AOS had insanely good APDS for a good while when T55AM2 was released. I dont know why, maybe the nostalgia of old War Thunder having Vietnam War tanks as the top Dogs but I like them. Gaijiggles definitely needs to divide the Matches by their Eras. WW2 > Korea/Vietnam > End of Cold War/ Present Day

so i started playing this tank and it does well when the hull is hidden.... also only take 33 rounds it will prevent ammo from being stored in the body which people tend to shoot first, so that means you have a chance for a revenge shot should they miss crucial crew

@@TheBattle1992 I personally haven't unlocked it yet,but it seems reasonable at 10.0.Yes mobility is an issue,but you can't have too much pen,also post pen damage is great.It's whatever,it might not be the tank that suits how you play,but I don't see it doing poorly at 10.0.And yes,if someone shoots your hull you explode but I think that if you play similar vehicles with similar weakspots you'll realise that people don't always tend do that
