The T18E2 in War Thunder is a super rare US Light Tank with a British Cannon that fires a US Round.
The Boarhound in War Thunder is a Light Tank that everyone should own. It's a wheeled vehicle with a 57mm that fires APHE. At the really low BR of 3.0 this thing is incredibly powerful. Rarely can a light tank hold its own but this one really REALLY does.
Suffering only from being a little slow for the tier, everything else more than makes up for it. A 4 second reload. Decent armour. Great gun. There's nothing to dislike about this little guy!

A small number of production T18E2 were actually delivered and used in the North African campaign so they could just make it a GE premium vehicle in the British tree. But then they would have to fix its incredible OPness.

To put it into perspective: with the Gaijin's penetration calculator this 57mm gun now has about the same penetration (122mm/0°) as the US 76mm gun had historically (128mm/0°).

After a little bit of research, they did mount a panzer 4 turret to a panzer 3 hull. Not sure if it went anywhere though Post edit after a little more digging, I don’t see any evidence of them actually being built, there were blueprints for it though

The thing I like about playing Britain is it taught me how and where to aim, as one-shotting tanks is about hitting the ammo not the crew on big tanks like the Tiger or Panther. The Panzer 4 you can actually one-shot straight through the drivers plate middle and kill all the crew but through the side you have to hit the ammo, which the Sarc and Achilles taught me how to hit reliably. And then Russia is fuel targeting…

My issue is you can shoot a PzIV through the driver hatch and kill the entire crew one shot, then hit the exact same spot on the next PzIV and only slightly damage the driver. Same for ammo racks. A couple matches ago I hit Panther in the ammo side-on with a 17pndr sabot and it barely yellowed it. Next shot, exact same place, ammo racked it. I've been killed so often in Brit tanks b/c of that inconsistency. Solid shot just isn't modelled correctly and until it is, any gun using it will be pure suffering.

The Atomic Heart thing was just an April Fools thing. So there's nothing coming (unless it comes in the next April Fools event). And the Turkish pack was discounted in Turkey and you could get it for 700 TRY (equals to 35 bucks which is great value). And we got local pricing which is huuuge because we couldn't get anything and had to grind events to get vehicles to sell on the marketplace.

Think this vehicle is actually op. 122mm of pen with APHE, 3 second reload, decent armor and mobility and stabilized… I’m surprised it’s still 3.0. It would honestly do just fine at 4.0 as well.

I've been sporting the swedish PVKV II and man o man, is it hard to have fun with that tank, especially when you dont have APHE and are forced to use solid shot to start. and with a big ol 12 second reload, its an absolute pain.

Sadly, the T18E2 was the apex of it's development, with the earlier versions using a far more inferior 37mm and a grand total of 30 production vehicles were made (27 for a mostly cancelled British order, 3 US). Likewise, the M1 US-6 pounder gun didn't make it on to many vehicles- most of them were towed antitank guns. It wasn't even expected to be used, meaning US M1's didn't have anything but AP rounds for most of the war and didn't get their own HE until mid-1944, and never got APDS (other than ammo gotten from the British) or APCR. That being said, this thing legit could end up on the British tree since it actually saw combat use there.

yup, this thing was slow rite from the rip it never got much of anything done to it. But it's still faster than a lot of tanks in its range. But a Stabilizer is great on this to have, it's a nice advantage.

the guns are the same except the early 6 pounders were 43 caliber guns where as the American built version the M1 57mm had the later added and longer 50 caliber gun.

Panzer iv mini tiger? Odd, when the panzer 4 H used to have its 85mm of armour, get the +20mm track armour upgrade and you literally have a mini tiger at 4.3/4.0 XD

The Boarhound was made by the US Army for Britain and was made to British specification by them. An order for 2500 was made, however high production costs and poor cross country performance meant only 27 were made. Why this thing isn't in the British Tech Tree is a travesty.
