I love when these episodes are just "your imagination". It reminds me of the FASA days when I was a budding writer, filling in the gaps when I was fourteen or fifteen. Obviously, your writing is much more polished and clever! i like the cardenas class one of my sto chars if flying it full phaser and crit build very effective. the design is different from the normal star fleet ships and i like that.

One of the only Disco ships I like. This and the Europa. Very, very nice ships. The Cardenas is like a 4-nacelle Bonaventure class which is one of my favs of all time and would love to see a video on someday!

Thank you! Fantastic, as always! I loved seeing the SNW 1701, some aren't in agreement, yet I have to say I love the design tweaks. I understand when others dislike the changes, I was raising a brow when I got my 1st look at the new design's upper saucer windows and 10Forward sort of bow-view windows. Now, hey, why not, it looks great. Doesn't hurt anything, Although I have to say I don't understand the problem withhaving a giant window/view screen on the bridge since there is a dome up above that. That has transparent windows.... Sorry I just don't get that problem lol

A couple of Great Starship designs included in Canon does not change the Status of the Game to being anything more then the Beta Canon it has always been! That will never change!

While I’ve always liked the Constitution class…a classic design…I like the designs that don’t have a similar layout…like the Reliant and the Constellation classes. Although I’ll gladly watch what you put together. Fun stuff. Perhaps you could do the Larson or Massao (not sure of the spelling) class.

As I have stated a couple of times, I'm not a big fan of Discovery designs, but taking into consideration the series looks, this one is pretty great. Probably my favourite looking 4 nacelles design.

411 meters is a BIG ship for the TOS era! Over 110 meters longer than the constitution class.

Not really, as a lot of its size is down to its Nacelles... Also, you cant really say "Big ship for the TOS Era" as only 1 Canon Starship Class has been seen in that Era, so you dont really know WHAT Big for that Era is!

In the remastered version yes... But thats comparing apples to oranges as the Antares and Huron Classes are Cargo Vessels not Ships of the Line! And even if you include it, 2 vessels are not enough to make an overall statement!

I always wished Star Trek (officially) would explain the 2 and 4 nacelle divide. Just say something simply like 4 warp engines is faster, but far less efficent or something. That way you can explain it is a more powerful/faster design, with a tradeoff of way less efficiency which is why most designs have 2.

I think it would be difficult to give that sort of explanation without it seeming like fan service... It isnt something that can easily be worked in to daily conversation!

No it was not, the Gemini Class, which is a Beta Canon Class only, was its own design. Hence why it's not called the Cardenas Class Refit!

Will there be a video about the Discovery visual of the Constitution class or are we going to assume it's the same ship as the Picard series did? And what ship started the boxy design in starfleet until the arrival of the constitution class? The nx-01 isn't that boxy.

@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics The original question was that when the original movies arrived they explained the change in the visual with a refit, do you think in the lore perspective, the discovery style of the constitution was actually his original configuration, and the TOS can be explained like "the first refit", and this explains why in the Picard series the model in display is the discovery configuration not the TOS. Or is just too overthinking and isn't that important XD?

No, I believe the Stargazer is a class from Star Trek Online they are making Canon, not the Cardenas Class! As the New Stargazer is to honor the Original Stargazer from TNG and looks VERY different then this class. 4 Engines doesn't automatically = Cardenas, there were many other designs with 4 Engines ;)

Not exactly, as hes refering to untested designs... Like the failed Transwarp experiment, this was simply Starfleets pie in the Sky dreams... And we know this to be true thanks to TOS as Scotty balks in several episodes about how speeds above Warp 6 are still hazardous... So yes, it took to the mid 23rd Century for those speeds to even be viable!

As I said in your other comment, I think these designs are overall great... Fleshing out an Era of Design we basically know nothing about... They also look far more realistic then the original design of the Constitution Class ever was!
