Last Semester I did my statics and started badly but once I watched all your statics videos I was able to catch up and not only pass but get a good grade too. now I started my semester having Dynamics by watching your Dynamics playlist and I noticed that it is not complete. Is it okay if you complete the Dynamics playlist? I will really appreciate it and not only me but all your subscribers because we are all waiting for it and need it. Also thank you for all your hard work and effort.

Jeff, I am SO GRATEFUL for your videos. They have helped me understand these concepts when my Statics and Dynamics teachers completely failed me. Keep up the good work, sir because there are students that literally have to rely upon your instruction coupled with other KZbin examples. Learning from you has proven to be a billion times more valuable than chegging answers so, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Please give us all the instructions you can!

DR. Jeff Hanson, thank for another fantastic video on Work and Energy Balance with Power and Efficiency. I watched and took notes on all 26 videos, and they are all amazing. I took Dynamics in the late 1980;s at the Old Catonsville Community College in Baltimore County, Maryland and it was nothing close to these great videos/lectures. I am doing many problems from the Engineering Mechanics Dynamics. 2nd Edition by R.C. Hibbeler. I hope that students appreciate your contribution to higher learning.

Hey Jeff, love your videos, they help out so much when studying! Just wondering if you will continue the Dynamics series with more videos involving the topics of impact, angular momentum and others topics found later on in the dynamics course. It would truly help a bunch having those videos later down the road for finals.

I love you videos, I hope they pay off as I am using them to prep for the FE and dynamics is something I struggled with because while Hibbeler is my favorite professor, his default course structure does not work for something as nuanced and varied as dynamics, his class and workload structure works great for mechanics of materials, statics, and every other class, but a test every week on 2 new concepts without paying mind to most of the old concepts was not the way for dynamics. I do have one suggestion for your videos. When you are done explaining the concepts and stating the problem, it would be helpful if you moved out the way of the board for a few seconds, so us at home who are trying to work it out on our own at first don't have to keep moving the video around when you in the way of something. Just a few seconds of only board would allow us to pause the video on those few seconds so we can try and work out before you write anything on the board. Also if you have to make a correction to the problem mid problem, try writing a comment about it on the video and pinning the comment, that way when we are trying to work it out, if we get stuck and feel like something is missing, we don't have to watch through half of the solution to see there was a mistake, we can always just check the comments and continue solving the problem without assistance (and hopefully getting it correct).

Why is the force in the final power equation 1500 lbs and not 500? Isn't the motor only supplying 500, and the pulleys are supplying mechanical advantage which gives the 1500?
@canerdavarc45474 жыл бұрын
Yeah , you re right but at that time the velocity of the cable connected to motor will change , if you remember from dependent motion. from there -3Va=Vb which will give the same answer.

I'm wondering why we don't include the work done by gravity in the T1 + U(1->2) = T2 equation.
@Peter_1986 Жыл бұрын
I believe that the term U(1->2) represents the change in potential energy. A different way to write this equation would be as T1 + U1 = T2 + U2; this means that both sides have a certain amount of kinetic energy and a certain amount of potential energy.

Can someone please explain to me why we don't consider the tension from the bottom (rope of) pulley A? cf. 3:25 minutes in the video.
@canerdavarc45474 жыл бұрын
Same thing , Ta=2T so there will be no change
@MortezaNurcheshmeh4 жыл бұрын
Because the point of application for the force on the pulley does not move. When you apply a force but the point of application for the force is not moving, then no work is done by the force.
