I feel lik an electric scooter would be a perfect addition to your cart. You can use it to collect hay or wild edibles or go to town for supplies and it can be charged with solar oower and easily stowed away on your cart

Hey tried a donkey and opted to go back to sheep. His experience was equine animals are too dangerous for the effort. The Amish are also in different environments which requires warmer carts
