@@topsaw the easiest way for brush cutter string is to take seven meters and cut it to 3.5 meters long on both sides and put it in the head of the dece stihl with the 25-2 head

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself. Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

I like a small independently owned saw shop not a box store for the right tool, they will let you try it out so you can get the feel for it. The two weed eaters in this video are pretty large heavy commercial machines.

People make reloading stihls main autocut head so difficult. I really don’t understand why. When u pop off the lid and look at the bump spool it’s pretty much self explanatory. Some people might test or experience on how much line to load in it. I have over the years, but that here no there. You don’t need to run out and get a speed feed it’s just something to complain about. I know for a fact the stihl heads hold up much longer than speedfeeds do. One to two bump spools for the whole year and that’s running them multi times a week commercial type use. Residential use one will most likely do u the whole season. Speed feed I heard from folks online average replacing cap bottoms every 2-3 months guessing they mean commercially used. So that’s why I stayed with stihls regular wind head. I can load one pretty quick in about a 1min or so out in the field. I just precut 2 10- 12inch sections of line or one long 20 - 24 inch piece of line push one end into each of the spool holes wrap it up. Click it into spool slots. Set it inside the head lined up with eyelits and snap em in put cover on and down. Much easier done than said.

Nice video but would be useful as a complete noob, why on earth you need to use a screw driver to open the lid. Is this just how it is, I know obvious to many who have been using stihl, but as a newcomer, some things seem not so obvious, also when you pulled things tight at the end .. thanks was helpful .. thanks for making it.
