I like watching woodworking vids on YT. Very satisfying seeing someone turn a chunk of wood into a piece of art. Yet your vids stand out, Stephen. Not only is your craftsmanship superior to most, your smooth narration and righteous choice of music make your channel worth subscribing. Keep up the great work. I'm a new fan!

Beautiful piece but more than that good to see you turning again on the tube. Are you still working with smelting? I refer to your videos often as I get into resin casting. That's a lot of fun also. Weather you continue on the tube or not you have helped countless people in turning and making. I have been casting quite a bit and have been accumulating my overage resin, in cups, and am ready to turn them into bottle stoppers . I'm looking up" My way" turning bottle stoppers. I've turned several of these red cedar bowls and still have lots of blanks ready to turn, you said something about it being brittle, I haven't noticed that, it turns like clay, just find lots of small cracks, and C.A. glue works good on that. I cut my blanks out the same way except I use a pick instead of a nail, but they make beautiful bowls, I only use polishing grit and bee's wax for the finish, so not to cover the cedar smell !
