Huge goodtime memories of my childhood, and yesterday too ,as I went out and kicked over my 1974 125 Yammy to bring the sheep in. 👍 Gotta love the old school Yamaha's! You're teaching your young man right.

Cool project for your Son. I remember my first bike, worked on it for days. Once I got it running you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Good job!

Good on him and good on you. I get this is 5 years old, but it's cool to see some kids still growing up learning to wrench. The sense of accomplishment doing the work and getting it running is huge

That's a short tether, maybe if you lengthen it the dog could have some grass to lay on. Happy that your son got a new bike. Another great video.

A life long project full of skills and memories. Reminds me when I ran a scout troop of 34 boys long ago. We would rebuild small motors go camping and some of the kids turned out good some dropped out but I have ran into a few in the past who always have those skills to look back on. On how things work and common sense. I myself my helmet stays on the cabin shelf. Every time I ever wore one out back on the logging roads here I almost crashed over bad visibility. I think in society usually wearing a helmet is insurance for if someone else tries to mow you down with their car or they are the one who cause the accident in the first place. In today's society commonsense and the realization at how things really work went out the window years ago. Reminds me of an old retired navy man i knew. What do you call the man who broke his hand in 3 spots doing the same thing. Stay out of those areas.

Back in the day we had 2 1974 bikes. A Dt125 and a Dt175. The 175 was the bike to have for hill climbing. Because its a DT and not a ligit trials bike you could change the sprocket. It will climb your property with ease. $95 ? great find.

hehehehe way to go red the kids driving a tow vehicle @ 13 yrs, kinda the same how it was w/ my old man...that might of just been a dry old crank seal got a flat spot on it from setting. in the name of reliability I had old huskies and maicos and they were cantankerous that way (kicking a 400 maico that many times is like investing in a new start shaft and kick lever evenw/ the compression release)so if its running awhile and 'leans out' on ya like that...first thing to check; do a 'proper' leak down test.
