This was my first track day on this bike, so my pace was at least 10 seconds off where I'd normally ride. I gotta say though, I'm not a fan of the bike and will be selling it. The ergonomics are absolutely terrible for me-I end up extremely fatigued after just 2 or so laps. It would require extensive modification to get it to fit me right, and in my opinion it's not worth it. Beautiful bike, but the Panigale V4 was better in every way. I'll likely end up buying a race bike and sticking to racing/track days only from now on, but I may pick up another V4 instead (I totaled the one I had unfortunately after hitting some sand in a low speed corner and sending it off the cliff) p.s. sorry the video is too cropped in-had the stabilization turned up on the GoPro when I shouldn't have.

wow so sad to hear this ! at least you seem to be in good health, that's the most important :) Funny that the 1299 ergonomics don't fit you because I'm 180 cm tall and my 1199 panigale is the bike I feel the more comfy on haha I track with a tuono v4 1000 '13 changed in a rsv4 and its ergonomics suit me well too. So what are your measurements ? Since the RC51 seem to fit you don't you want to race it again ?

@@xavlamela9055 yeah I'm pretty disappointed because it's such a beautiful bike but it just totally killed me riding it. Not only the ergonomics, but I feel like the powerband is so small and it doesn't really sound good when you're riding it (with this exhaust it sounds like a loud 250 on board). I'm about 6'2" so almost 4" taller than you but I also have very long legs which makes it even more cramped. The tank is also far too narrow and doesn't protrude back far enough for me to brace against easily during braking. Anyways funny you should mention the rc51...what I'm leaning towards now is actually building a full on rc51 race bike to race in a couple local series. It fit great and I just loved it anyways.

@@jetstream01 I track with my 1199s, gorgeous bike and you are right tank is too narrow, rode my buddy v4, love how wide the tank and and you can grip it way better. ergonomics is way better and so is the price lol. I'm 6'1 year back it use to give back and leg pain but few months after its all good.

Did you get rid of the FE in the end? How loud is the euro 4 exhaust in person?

I did get rid of it. But I never heard it with the Euro 4 exhaust, it came with the full race one. The Euro 4 one isn't very loud though since it still has a cat on it.

What did you replace it with? I read that the standard FE suspension setup was too stiff and has the bike pushing and sliding you all over the corners. You are a larger rider so may not have experienced as lighter riders. The exhaust sound of the FE makes me want to mute the video

@@minibison3280 I actually had the suspension setup by the trackside suspension guys (reputable guys) before my first session, so it actually handled GREAT. It was the terrible ergonomics (for me) and crappy sound that made me get rid of it. Haven't replaced it with anything yet. I will say the bike sounds decent from the outside, just not when you're riding (loud intake maybe).

@@minibison3280 😂😂 luckily I have plenty of other hobbies to keep me busy. But I actually just decided street riding (and thus owning street legal bikes) isn't for me...too boring. Currently hunting for a race bike to setup for the 2022 season.

To me it sounds like a really loud Ninja 250. It's actually one of the worst sounding bikes I owned when on board. From the outside it sounds ok.
