It's truly amazing how the models have changed over the last two years. I was very impressed with the details and functionality of the F-18. Good job Pete.

"Components are now higher end so no more issues now". So now we admit to issues with ALL other planes you offer with lower end components. I must say, this is the most detailed ice chest I have seen in awhile. I like how you ignored the canopy not closing automatically and casually closed it by hand.

I have had exceptional service with these guys. I recommend them to anyone looking to buy RC planes or parts online. My prop assembly broke on my plane, after searching the internet I decided I would just get the parts from them directly, they even sent me a photo of the parts before they sent them to me...AMAZING!

I have the big A-10 and it flies flawlessly. Everthing works very well. To date I have 35 flights on it and get 5min at half throttle which is average for twin 70mm on one pack. I always put my own equipment in these planes without question. I guess some of you haven't learned. HiTec servos all the way around with a DX-7 radio and 7600RX. Don't blame Pete, do your homework and you'll have a great flying machine. The A-10 4 points very well and inverted is rock solid. Stop badgering Pete.

@ElfenSky NO, it probably has a relatively light body even with all the servos for the wing foldings and stuff. 2 EDF's are more than enough once you get it up to speed.

In my opinion the f series of fighters is the most interesting mainly due to the fact that each of these jets revolutionized military war fair in the air my favorite being the F-14 tomcat and my second favorite being the F-18 super hornet (especially with the blue angels.) if I had to be assigned two fighter jets the F-14 and 18 would be my choice.

Let me say my story. 5 years ago, I refused to listen to online advice on how to choose a plane and radio. My first plane? I bought this, as a kit, along with some high quality part on various site. I also got the Devo 12s. From beginning to end, I've spent around $2k on my first plane. I spent around 2 years building it, getting stuck frequently and trying to look for solutions online (I was 10 and just starting to use the web). In the end, it didn't fly... It didn't even live long enough to the flying field. So I got a dolphin jet, that was the most docile thing they have in my local shop, didn't end well. Kind guys at the field let me buddy box and I learnt how to fly at least, and a kid gave me his plane for me to crash and learn. Still I crash, I didn't know why until someone did a very comprehensive check, and found out the Devo12s was the culprit. Smacked another $500 on a sky surfer and a DX6i. That went well and that went for 6 month. I wanted more, but I felt guilty for spending that 2.5k and didn't manage to fly. So I got into scratch build. Built a lot, crashed a lot, I used my scratch build projects to help me got into my high school's RC club. Now I'm proudly flying 50cc doing crazy shit.

You are referring to CFT (Conformal Fuel Tanks). Those are still consider to be "external" tanks- they are slapped on the side of the aircraft's body instead of hanging off the wing and "conform" to the aerodynamic signature of the airplane to help on aerodynamics. But they are still external. The F-15D Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagles carry these same time of tanks. But you have to remember they are still EXTERNAL. Watch this video watch?v=pz2Cl3TnRyM A Super Hornet without CFTs

You can't silence the EDF, but if you use a 12 blade fan instead of the usual 5-6 blades it'll sound almost like a real turbine. Especially with the rectangular intakes. Assuming it doesn't have cheater holes..

I didn't know that C's and D's werent only blue angels though, thanks! and also, ive kinda been wondering, isnt it weird to have a two seater jet when the 2nd pilot is usually the gunner, in a non-fighter jets? lol

2 seats doesn't mean it's a non-fighter jet? The F-4, F-15 Strike Eagle, & F-18F Super Hornets are all fighters. The idea of 2 seats is to ease the workload of the pilot. Let the pilot do the flying- let the back seater find, track, and lock on the enemy targets in the air AND on the ground. In a single seat fighter- the pilot would have to do ALL that, plus fly. 2 seat jets are also used for training purposes (instructor & student) such as in the F-18D. That was a training version of the F-18.

Looks good Pete. Personally, I could do without all the gimmicks, but they are a cool conversation piece. Please consider bringing over a 90 or 120mm single EPO EDF with servoless retracts that can handle grass fields. More than half of the current members of the AMA fly from grass fields. Maybe a cool sport jet design. Simple and fast. Keep up the good work!

No- F/A-18 A&B Hornets are LONG GONE... retired in the mid 1990s. The C & D Hornets are/were flown by everyone (not just the Blues) and are distinguished by the little fins on the upper edges of the strakes (next to the walkways) just in front of the wings and the 2 little radar-sensor bulges behind the canopy, and the engine upgrades. As the transition to Super Hornets are complete...the Blues too will be flying them... if they ever come back from the sequestering deal.

Guys please read the text I wrote in regards to the CANOPY. The FA/18 was BLOWN upside DOWN on the runway during a take off attempt. The damage was extensive to the main wing and the canopy mechanism. It was either quit with the review or review it the way it was. The repair was done at the field and was not good enough for the canopy. The winds were WILD CROSS that day and the review was made either way. I address the Canopy issue in the video descriptions. ~ Pete
