I appreciate the speed that you do your tutorials. I'm not a fan of the heavy theory we see in other guitar lessons. You have the right mix of scales and theory. Thx!

Love me some ZZTOP. Grew up in South Texas and first concert I went to was ZZTOP, playing in basically a high school gymnasium and I've been hooked ever since. Thanks for the video!

My favorite ZZ Top song! Thank you!

Oh my gosh, one of my all time favorite ZZ Top songs. Deguello is probably their most underappreciated album. It's kind of transition between their original gut-bucket blues rock sound and the super slicked up 80's synth blues (which is also great). It's getting more stylized but still has a certain amount of grime. Ace stuff. I loved sitting down and learning this, great lesson, got my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed for it. If you were to ever choose to do another from this fantastic album, I'd vote for "Lowdown in the Street", about the REAL "Dirty 6th" blues scene in my adopted home town of Austin TX. Jimmy and Jojo, Kim and Keith, if ya know ya know.

Good video, really helpful. At 6:00, when he drops the A string down to the F, is just like Takin' Care of Business. The rhythm parts are really similar all the way through both songs. To my ears, during the main solo, I hear at least 2 rhythm parts, maybe a 3rd. There is even a very Motownish wah in your left ear too.

Cool, Apostle. You wrap your strings over the tail piece. The agnostic claim it is subjective... But the Reverend Billy Frederick Gibbons of Houston, Texas does it, so, I will too. Can I get an Amen!!, Brothers and Sisters?
