The other compressor clutch didn’t engage due to it had no ground. They’re grounded through the frame, the positive had no path back to the battery so the coil couldn’t energise. The refrigerant oil is hydroscopic and the slightest amount of air will destroy the oil. Make sure you flush this compressor and put fresh oil in it. Don’t just vac the system and charge it up. Also tap over those open ports 😲! Happy to help with more informational if needed 👌🏻

Love how things just transplant across in these older engines. Must have save the Toyota engineers a lot of trouble back then. Today modern cars have very specific parts and fittings that can't swap over so easily, so you have to go through the dealership 🙄

Looks good. Sorta like a ‘reco from the wreckers’ 😆, that compressor. Quality work on the rest. #RYOBI (should sponsor you) And that’s a genuine Aisin fan clutch too.... much better than any aftermarket junk. Look forward to the next instalment. 👍

Hi out of interest I have an problem with my 12ht now in my 75 series. If I turn it off and then want to turn back on straight away the lever on the actuator is still held in the run position and the vacuum is stil holding it back from starting. I then need to pull the hose off the actuator and let the air out and it’ll start first to then. Vsv is working fine. Any suggestions.

Do you plan to take it off road and explore our beautiful country or will it be a show type car, not trying to offend or judge, just asking :)

Yeah of course mate, itching to get back on the tracks. What’s to come in future episodes should make it obvious what it’s going to be used for 😜
