Good stuff. I purchased my CPO 2020 Macan S in January of this year at the Austin Porsche dealer also. My 20 inch wheels and PASM were a huge selling point. The 21's look great but you do sacrifice ride quality. The vehicle is best on the market in this category. So glad I took my time to cross shop numerous cars before I stumbled upon the Macan and realized the bang for your buck is 100% unbeatable.

I own a 2020 Macan S and absolutely love it, it's all the same as you describe but, now for who knows what reason, I'm looking at the Panamera. Someone tell me I'm crazy pls!

I was looking into a Macan S and just the sound of the exhaust of start up I was sold. But If your thinking about depreciation value, don't bother getting a Porsche. If your in it just for the sheer driving experience and joy, go for it.1st gen Macans are affordable/cheap because word is getting out regarding the flawed differentials that end up needing replacements - It is the one of the few reasons why I didn't go for a Macan S. So if you don't have CPO warranty, better hope it was already replaced and you can do the fluid changes and maintain it.When that diff fails w/o any Porsche warranty, all I can say is good luck. If you want to feel that you didn't waste your money on new and extended warranties with Porsche, make sure you use it and claim more than it's warranty purchase price - particularly for the oil leaks Macans from the 2018 are known for. The only way any Porsche that is affordable to maintain, do your own DIYs and minor repairs - save your money for the big fixes and let the pros handle it - Just like any VW group brand vehicles.

CPO prices are a little higher, in the Chicago area. But, I absolutely love my Macan. People do admire it and instantly identify it as a Porsche. Also liked my GLC, a more practical vehicle, than the fun to drive Macan. Porsche quality is slightly better than the current Mercedes. Maintenance costs are higher, but checkout some of the videos that document a service call. They do things I would never have dreamed of to preserve the car and keep it in top condition. Seems worthwhile to me.

Proud owner of a 2015 Macan turbo ! New, $92,000 with the high-end stereo system, not Bose, you know what I mean, and every option except sport exhaust. But the existing one burbles just fine ! Immaculate Service history bud, I purchased an extended warranty for $2,000 which is far less than buying a comparable CPO at a dealership.

Extended warranties are a scam and pay nothing. I have purchased 3 extended warranties in my life. That were not from the manufacturer. The first one paid out $7500 total in repairs. The second one went bankrupt. The third one. Which I never used. Until I tried to right at the end. For a minor $280 oil leak. They denied my claim. What a waste of $3300. NEVER AGAIN! No warranty at all or a CPO warranty ONLY.

Hi from Austin! Great video, currently looking for a 17/18 Macan with 18way seats and air suspension. Harder to find in the ‘S’ trim. Never get rid of it!

Yes this car is an absolute unicorn in the used car market. Especially the pre-refreshed ones which I think look far better. Funny I stumbled across this video because it was SERIOUSLY 👌🏾 this close to getting a CPO Macan a year ago. The car only had 38,000 miles and the Porsche dealer was ready to part ways for $30,000. If you like owning unicorns, check out the F31 generation BMW 328d (diesel) sports wagon. It’s my current DD and it’s an enthusiast best kept secret (only about 8 wagons for sale on Autotempest). Another good buy to replace the Macan is a 997 generation 911 or Audi A4 All-Road are pretty quirky too.

$2,000 for an oil change and transmission work?!? What?!? $2,000 is a new transmission in a standard car. I’m out. Though love these cars. There’s one for sale (today 1/15/25) used for $26,000 under 50,000mi. Ughhhh tempting.

In 2024, in Canada….I think you would be looking at $30 K at a dealer…$25 K Private for like a 2017-2018 model. Not likely going to f8nd one at a dealer for 25 K without higher mileage. I appreciate most people on here are from the states though.

If you tune that Macan S you can get 460+ hp out of it and smoke that BMW...

The general public wants a newer car with low maintenance costs. Maintenance on the Macan is very pricey. I dropped $3K last year and another $4K this year

Yeah but that Handa Civic is probably bran new as opposed to an 8 year old Macan. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE my 2018 Macan.
