I have a 10kg mace, if you have never tried that much weight, you don't know how impressive this is.

Fooled around a bit with my 8kg mace and tried a one handed 360. It worked and that a few times. Gotta train a lot more though. But maybe it is time to get myself a 12kg mace. Thanks for the great vids by the way. Greetings from Germany.

damn...I'll love to take the certification, but I can't afford it right now, maybe next year.

This looks like a fun way to exercise. What's the leg workout from doing this? It looks mostly upper body, but is this full body like kettlebells can or would there still need to be "leg" day? Also what about for women? As in what is a good starting weight for people who don't have much upper body strength? Also, are there any modifications needed to account for our different body shapes. Particularly being shorter I'm worried about the handle being too long and if that can be accounted for or would the handle need to be cut. You look pretty tall to me so I don't know if you'll be able to answer that one.

Hi there, I’m still pretty new to all of this, but I think the general consensus is that a 5-10 pound mace is a good starting weight for a woman, and that’s just going to depend on how strong you are to begin with. As for legs, there is some leg engagement with macebell work, but generally it’s best to throw something in to supplement it like kettlebell or calisthenics. Personally I’ve had superb results from macebell, Hindu squats and push ups, and sprinting to build a full body physique! That said, definitely experiment to find what will work best for you, as it took me a few months to settle into my current routine, and also I’m one of those people who will gain muscle from just looking at a set of weights 😅
