The teacher seems to be such a nice guy and so happy to share his culture. This is a very inspiring video.

One of the best guys I have come across. It's awesome seeing people as passionate as him sharing their culture and passions. I'd highly recommend following Kashi and reaching out to learn from him.

Great content and humble aproach towards awesomeness. I subscribed @persianyoga. This was art, history and perfection of the human body. There is more similarity’s in the Persian pahlevani and the Hindu pahlevani than some ppl in the chat wants to admit. Great work !

Great comment. I don't know very much about the Hindu alternative to be honest, might be something I have to look into more.

Looks like it is good for side muscles, which we tend to ignore in the West. Probably the shield, but those clubs, maybe a little too. Indians use those clubs to exercise as well.

This session had my obliques firing, but also really opened up my shoulders and chest. Have you tried anything like this before?
@ChessMasterNate Жыл бұрын
@@fatherfigurecoach In a way. I had a job where we removed axles and tires from mobile homes. Wrestling with those things under trailers, moving them over and under ductwork, wires, pipes, and such. Lifting these things in awkward positions, definitely engages the core, shoulders, back and arms. Axles are good for grip too, as they are a much wider diameter than a barbell.

As a Greek and specially Macedonian it would be a very interesting field of research the Structural parts of the Spiritual context of Pahlavani from Zoroastrism, ancient Greek warrior training, Sunni and ofcourse Shia Muslim and of course don't forget Buddhism. To what extent al the above mentioned systems played a role if they had played any and to what extent....I personally combine this with Indian Yoga and Chinese QiGong to my Southern Mantis KungFu and Tibetan Buddhist Yoga and Dharma!

@@fatherfigurecoach think about how irresponsible folks are with phones even.....these techniques need to be done by serious folks id think is all im saying. Lots of room here for novice injury..prove me wrong
@fatherfigurecoach7 сағат бұрын
I agree there could be injuries, but you could also get hurt in just about every style of training. I think if you learn from the right person (Kashi), have an understanding of your own body and work your way up to heavier weights then you would mitigate a lot of the risk of injury.
@jonathanschadenfreude96037 сағат бұрын
@fatherfigurecoach see I came out this with the mistake of dealing with thousands of people on a weekly basis for the job that I do and when I see the basic average person that I rub shoulders with out on the street or at work trying this stuff without somebody there watching them like you're saying which is really really really really really unattractive for the average person to have a teacher watching over them while they're playing with this stuff
