12v Cummins start after almost 2 years

That's good stuff. I just pick up a truck like that a few weeks ago. A black 94 5sp 2x4 cummins. It had been sitting out in the open field for 7-8 years. I replaced the FSS/relay and lift pump. After bleeding the lines and a few bumps she fired right up. I was surprised how everything worked, lights, radio, etc... I replaced all the fluids, brakes and tires.

I just bought my cummins a month ago it's a 1st gen 12v it was sitting for 5 years when I bought the truck. It cranked over 3 times in 15 degree weather and fired right up.

Have an ‘04 3500 5.9 that has been sitting for almost 4 years. 65k miles. Making a trip down to get it up and running. Any tips or advice on what i should all be replacing? Seems like it should have no problem turning over but I’m not sure how much more attention I’m going to need to give it after sitting so long. Thanks

Hey DFO, long time no see, we used to play ROR together, about 9 or 10 years ago, I was Peterbilt on the forum. I still have that red 94 reg. cab, 2wd dually, 12 valve 5 speed that I had back then, but up to last year it hadn't been started in probably 6 years. It was a fight getting it started, and once I did it still has low fuel pressure, you have to keep it running for about a minute before you can get out, and even then it'll only idle around 400 RPM.

hell yes!! my 90 sat for 2ys put a battery in it hit the key and it was runnin before the key was turned all the way!!
