12V SMPS to Variable Lab Bench Power Supply (3V to 25V)

Hello friends, today in this video I've shown how to make a mini variable lab bench power supply using existing 12v smps adapter.

Thank you very important video. I have an adapter like the one in the video, I'm going to transform it into a variable voltage adapter. Question: You have connected the blue wire from the variable resistor to Vcc. What do you mean by Vcc, Vcc means number 1 of the optocoupler is not it? Since the optocoupler includes 4 terminals whose numbers are: 1-2-3-4. Please answer my question.

No. It only controls the TL431 voltage reference IC. The optocoupler has to be kept because it insulates the primary side from the secondary side. If something were to go wrong with the primary switching circuit, this will insulate you from dangerous mains voltage.

No offense dear but , real ambient sound is far far better than this awful clipping music. Anyway in this trade you are a wizard. Are u sure by varying duty cycle of onboard PWM ic by hacking shunt TL431 is safe in the long run? Most PWM ics are designed around 50% duty cycle and 80% efficiency. Is voltage stable? What is the maximum duty cycle you've reached before the circuit oscillate & shutdown?
