Hey, I've got the Nexon EV 45kWh Plus too, and with a full charge and balanced cells, I get around 390km in City mode (regen 1) and 410km in Eco mode (regen 3). Crazy thing is, I left it charging for two hours after it hit 100%, and the range jumped 50km! Before, a full charge only showed about 340km. I've got pics to prove it.

Yes this is a pretty good range for mixed conditions, the average efficiency is around 120 Wh/km and it is very good. If tata offers battery pack upgrade many existing customers would go for Nexon 45 EV.

@@beastislive7174 I dont think Windsor EV is overpriced. For a car that size and a Decently equipped base model at 13.5 lakh is pretty good. If you think about any C segment car like creta or even smaller like nexon ICE. you dont get anAutomatic car at that price. On top of it the fuel cost saved. I think it is a well priced car.

In my operation as on date MG Widsor is much better choice in place of Nexon Ev in this segment of 300 to 350 Km range. For long run go for Curvv.55 or newly launched BYD Ev's .. No doubt Nexon Ev 45 is also a good product. Once you drive an Ev car you will not prefer driving IC engine car and due to cheaper running cost your running will definitely increase.

Nexon can't accommodate more than 45kw due to platform constraints. 45kw was achievable bcoz of prismatic cell arrangement.

I have read around a year ago, that for nepal Tata was already producing Nexon with 50 KW battery pack, when this 45 KW wasn't even heard of here in India. So I'm pretty sure it can be made available, without any compromise on internal space.

5-6 months nahi par 2-3 saal baad ho sakta hai kyuki per unit volume (or area) energy density EV cells ki badh rahi hai. Matlab ki Nexon me jo battery bay hai, utni hi space me higher capacity wali battery fit ho jayegi. When Nexon EV was launched it had only 30 kWh battery aaj almost usi footprint me 45KWh battery fit ho rahi hai. It is going to be like cell phone market, as more days you wait, more range at lesser price you will get.

If in same prismatic cells, more charge per cell can be packed, you can get higher capacity battery. Tesla, LG and Panasonic 4680 cells are believed to have higher energy density and hence can pack more charge capacity in the same area compared to older generation cells.
