It's such a shame the hotel has been neglected. If I was rich I would do it up for sure! Thanks for sharing such a unique location.

I lived in that town {Nile} for a while-wonderful-lovely old church and cemetary and great countryside-tried to check out the Inn once but was chased off by the guy from over the road !-thanks for the vid and memories

As soon as i seen it i recognised it,used to deer hunt and trout fish up the road from there on property called Winburn .Inever stoped to snoop around it ,i regret that cause that was40 years ago. It must have been in splendid condition then.Later on in life i bought a old farm house 1840 on Pateena road longford where i restored the house while conducting my small business Trout taxidermy from there ,some of you may have seen my place as i had a trout taxidermy sighn out front

It’s the old Nile Inn, sadly left to go to rack and ruin by its owners, a well known farming family in the area., They won’t sell apparently. It’s on the Tas Heritage Register as a building at risk. It desperately deserves to be restored. We looked at the possibility of doing so, but couldn’t afford to do so.
