Hi mark , I work for a well known food store in the area , many times I delivered groceries to the elderly lady that lived there, she was English and lived on her own, she was a bit of a hoarder and would try selling stuff to me and the other drivers, she was a lovely lady , she never locked her door and her pets were the local rats which she would feed, I remember taking her shopping in for her and laying it all out on the worktop in the kitchen (where I could find space, she was one of the nice customers, I havnt been there for around 2 years so I know she was there in 2022.
@tonyburgham43225 ай бұрын
Nice piece of additional history, and if this lady was alive in the August 2022, it would explain the 2023 dates on the food packaging. Also it would explain the large amount of rat droppings around the house, as the rats knew this was a safe source of food, and as such would come looking.

I always find it sad when you see these abandoned homes with all the books, furniture, books, music, trinkets, pictures, knick knacks etc still intact. What was once someone's home that had meaning now silent shells. Some people have certain opinions on exploring old homes like this but I think bringing it to light not only shows a reminder of who that person was, snapshots of their life and the fact they once did live but also perhaps raise awareness for people with elderly family who might be alone. That's also an amazing view out the front door.

Bismarck was the first of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Named after Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, the ship was laid down at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg in July 1936 and launched in February 1939. Work was completed in August 1940, when she was commissioned into the German fleet. Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz were the largest battleships ever built by Germany, and two of the largest built by any European power.
