Regardless of the look, it works! That tricep rope was really cool
@DesignBuildLift3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!!! I like the way the rope attachment feels…the “give” there is in the tennis balls make it feel different than a standard tricep rope which has the hard plastic ends. If you give it a try please let me know! 🙏

Can you design something for adjustable dumbells, where the end doesnt dig into your thigh?
@DesignBuildLift3 жыл бұрын
@@glock92046 sure - in the meantime cut an x into one side of a tennis ball and put it over the end of the dumbbell…. Makes it more comfortable - but it only works when you have the space - meaning - when you exceed 4 x 10 lbs 1” plates per side (i.e., max 80 lb dumbbell) there is no space for the ball.

Thanks, great ideas and suggestions. I made the handles and the tricep extensions. I used a ring from Home Depot (200 lb limit) for the handles as it enables the handles to be used as a single extension. And I used the ring to attach the two straps together for the tricep extension. I think that the washers are best to hold the tennis balls as the width makes them more secure against the tennis balls. Thanks for sharing these. Great hacks!

On the safety squat bar hack you have you tried putting the tennis balls on there at the end to give you a softer grip vs the large washers? I think that may enhance that hack even more. Great ideas with these, never thought about using these all the different ways you show.

Thank you for the video. I am looking for substitutes/alternatives for Gym Ring straps (other than ratchet straps or moving straps). Soft loop tie down straps would be too short. Any suggestion? Thank you.
@DesignBuildLift3 жыл бұрын
I believe “Lashing Straps” is what you want. EASILY Adjustable (and fast to adjust) and strong (the ones I have from Home Depot hold 500LBS).

@DesignBuildLift3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Of course it depends on the dumbbell size/style…but the ends of each loop will fit over the ends of my 15 LB hex dumbbells (and all smaller Hex ones)….so strap on top of shoe snd strap on bottom of shoe…And connect both straps together with a carabiner…? Should work. I will test this out and some pictures during my workout tonight and then post to Instagram (at DesignBuildLift). - probably tomorrow AM. 🙏💪🤘

V nice but aren’t short Climbing Slings safer?
@DesignBuildLift Жыл бұрын
They would work as well, but mine are rated for 3600 LBS - so I think they are fine (and cheaper). Available here: amzn.to/3kUglqb
@mlieb5202 Жыл бұрын
Yes there are all sorts of rating numbers given. There is the braking load then there is the Working load which is much lower. Whatever the number theses soft ties straps have the climbing slings straps numbers are about 3 times as high and climbing slings have been designed to carry the weight of a person which the soft ties straps have not been designed for. So all good fun but I don’t think that a commercial Gym would entertain your soft ties straps for the use of their customers. Too risky. But your ideas are still valid for short climbing sling straps.
@DesignBuildLift Жыл бұрын
