I love this guy. Saw GFR at the beginning.couple of times....Mark Farner brings the energy, he defined GFR..and man, all these years later, that voice...I swear it's haunting how it just hits you right in the heart, Hell, I think he sounds the same or better than ever. Big Farner Fan. !! 👍

yeah, I hear you, everyone today has got to voice their political views. I wish all of them would just stick to their craft, they have exposure that's why they speak out, the little guy, or gal can't get word out to 100 million people at once like these actors and musicians. I know Farner is a god nut too these days, he talks about that in interviews, FINE. When he's playing, I just wanna hear him play. so yeah, I agree. But damn, he's still got it 👍

I told President Trump in a letter that I dedicate this GFR song to him after he was Elected, as he became The Captain of America's Ship, as it needed turning around. I've seen Mark perform this Live and yes, he's great!! There's no Grand Funk Railroad without him, that's for sure!! Shea Stadium 1973 All the way!!

I was at this Streetsboro show.Mark and the band NEVER disappoint! When he said "I feel God in here"-he wasn't kidding,because as a believer,I felt the POWER and was definitely IN THE SPIRIT. Can't wait to see these guys again.They are the real deal!

I am so glad Mark has recovered lost ground after the bad way his brothers of the Original Grand Funk Railed him out of his rights as lead vocalist and the power behind the success of GFR. He has been restored. Praise God. Great voice after so many years and he still pitches well. Great stuff Mark and the new brothers!!

I remember when I was in the Navy and we would be coming back in from a long deployment and the captain would always play something on the intercom like Willie Nelson On the road again, or Homeward bound by Simon and Garfunkel and of course a frequent one would be Closer to home. It really was a great tune for any military guy.

I was twelve or so when I first started paying attention to the rock LPs that my older brother was listening to in his room. Mark, Don, & Mel was just such an album. I feel very fortunate to have been exposed to rock music of this age, just slightly ahead of what pre teen boys listening to AM pop , like myself, may have been listening to.

Great is great, and this is great music. I was so fortunate to open for GFRR at the Las Vegas Convention Center, I think if was 1974? not sure, but it was Grand Funk RR, Freddy King and my band Skurow. Sold out, about 10,000. people.
