Do y'all not use a spot lock type trolling motor? Seems like that would keep you on the fish better. That is what we use here in Eastern NC for bottom fishing/jigging like you are doing.

Hi @jginn83 great question! I used these when I lived in Florida but haven't seen them locally here in Juneau. Often the tide is running so hard that a trolling motor would have to work extra hard. I suspect some nicer setups could employ a gps "spot lock" using a larger 9.9hp "kicker" motor. Thanks again and tight lines my friend! Captain Zac

Nice amount cod to the boat. Do those hooks need a touch up with the hook honer? Had several that just didn't want to stay on that hook. Nice finish and fillet work. You're fast
