Came back to add this: The only audience for videos like this are the people who lived during the era. We're old. WE HATE ROBOT VOICES. We would rather hear your own voice, even if you think you aren't any good, than to listen to robots who can't get the right inflection, can't pronounce names, and can't sound natural. We HATE low effort ChatGPT generated crap. Make an effort.

This was a good list, but Mac Davis should have been near the top with "Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me". Also, I think you are confusing of a hatred of "Muskrat Love" with a loathing of the Captain and Tennille. People I knew liked America's cover of the song and the original by the songwriter, Willis Alan Ramsey.

Who told you that "Afternoon Delight" was about cheating spouses? Where in the lyrics does it say that? I know that song about a husband and wife. I think you're confusing that with 'Escape'.

I lived through that era as a musician. I was horrified by these songs except Muskrat Love. America did a great version but I was horrified by the Captain and Who ever released that version.

The first time we heard it on the radio, it was so sad! Then afterwards when the song became a big hit and hearing it eight times a day was worse than inquisitional torture.
