Awesome video! Having gone through ATP myself I think you hit all the relevant issues/hot topics that a lot of people have questions about prior to starting the program. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the next one!

I really enjoyed this video and am so happy to hear that you enjoyed ATP! I’m currently training for my Commercial Pilot license and eventually looking to fly for the airlines as well! So much respect to you and all the female pilots out there! Keep flying ladies!

Thanks so much for posting this very informative video! I’m almost 49 years old and wanting a career change to a professional pilot, I’ve had my PPL since 2004 with mostly SEL over the years with a little multi here and there. Been doing a lot of research on ATP compared to other schools and you pretty much covered everything I have questions about. Thanks again and look forward to more vids!

Based on your personal experience, did you have any difficulties (at ATP or other places you trained) on being a female flight student? I know currently that the pilot profession is male dominated and didn’t know if being a female student and/or instructor has some challenges you did or didn’t expect? Do you have any tips for female aviators? If Remi ever wanted to be a pilot I’d love to know the possible challenges she may face! Nice video! -Ellen

I know nothing about aviation but was always curious about it... I recently graduated from university and earned a bachelor's degree which I see Commerical is now requiring. Do you recommend ATP flight school with my current situation?
@pilotangelyn3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video! Don’t worry about not having everything figured out from the get go it’s definitely something that takes time. To get your Commercial Pilot there is no requirement to have a degree. If you’re looking to become an Airline Transport Pilot some airlines might prefer a degree but it’s definitely not a requirement. I think it’s great that you graduated with a Bachelors and that should only help you in your career. Of course I am a little biased but I do recommend the ATP program if it fits your needs. It’s a great program to get all your certificates and start you on the track to the airlines.

My comment is the only one that has not been responded to yet lol. Did you go to college or are you going to in the future?

I’m so sorry! I have not been on here in awhile… 😅 I attended the University of Oregon and got my Bachelors Degree!

Is it possible to attend ATP while also getting your bachelors degree? How hard do you think it is/will be to do so?
@pilotangelyn3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! Honestly there is a Flex program for that specifically. So I would recommend when you contact ATP for information that you ask about the Flex program. It is designed for people who want to keep a job or are going to school. You’ll be able to train on your schedule. If flying is something you’re super passionate about then this option is very doable!

Hey! I just wanted to ask wether overseas students are accepted in ATP or is it just for us citizens? Thank you
@pilotangelyn3 жыл бұрын
Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure they do a visa program out in Florida! I don’t know the specifics on how to be qualified but its worth looking into by calling ATP directly. I hope this helped!

Curious... did you *have* to move to become a flight instructor or did they have local openings for you?
@pilotangelyn2 жыл бұрын
Oh no you definitely don’t always have to move. If there are locations near you that is very possible. Always check with ATP HQ and they will let you know what is currently available as that will change.
