Hopefully now my friend you have learned Vanillaware = buy it on release. Loved Odin Sphere, Dragon's Crown will never leave my PS4, and this game has a amazing story, and out of the usual fantasy games they did brilliantly. Glad your giving this developer, and this game the love and exposure it needs and deserves. Kudos Sir, have a fun, chill weekend.

Wow, it was already on my list to play, but the comparison of story scope to Xenogears makes me really want to play it. Although, time travel stories usually aren't my favorite due to paradoxes and contradictions.

The narrative structure sounds like Suikoden III's Trinity Sight System, on steroids. This game wasn't on my radar before, but looks like I'm going to have to pick it up. Thanks for the heads up!

So, basically, it's "Dark" level of time travel complexity, but in an anime sci-fi setting. Sounds great!

Really hoping they put it on PC. Anything Japanese related gets released there (Yakuza, Persona, Bayonetta) gets very popular.

This game is starting to be hard to get a hold of in my country. I am still hesitant to get it because the gameplay does not seem like my kind of game. Mabye Its alot more story then gameplay, if I would not like it I could just play the game on easy mabye.

Yeah, you won't be spending too much time on gameplay. Throw it on easy and mindlessly smash through it if needed. It's also impossible to find a hard copy of it in Australia. I had to resort to digital :(

@@HellFireRPGs That sucks man. Why I didnt get the game when it came out is because I am not the biggest fan of the company(have nothing against them), Odin Sphere is pretty much the only game I have liked from them so far. Muramasa did not click with me sadly.

Just recently finished my completionist playthrough of this game myself, definitely a very unique and brilliant game. I will say the story is a tad over complicated at times, but it was still overall a fantastic game, easily one of the best of 2020. Also, seeing as The Last of Us 2 won best narrative, I honestly wouldn't put much stock in the Game Awards if I were you. The 2020 awards in particular were all kinds of lame, it's pretty much just a glorified commercial show at this point.

Haha, I still find it so funny how much TLOU2s story has divided fans. I would have put this story above TLOU2, but then FF7R would take out every category for me.

@@HellFireRPGs Yeah, FF7R was pretty awesome, though I'd still say I prefered Trails of Cold Steel IV and 13 Sentinels (though that's partly because they feel more complete). To me, even though I hated TLoU2's story I can actually understand why some people would like it. But I don't think a story that is considered bad by the majority of people who played the game deserves to win best narrative. I also just generally found it annoying how many undeserved nominations and wins TLoU2 got.
