Also depends a bit on norms and culture. Liberalism do result in "mind ones own business". Countries with a welfare state system is prone to be more collective minded. Voting not just for whats good for only me, but for others for example. Also the education level is quite high and also universal with a common knowledge so no one would hesitate not to see marching kids for hours as a sign something is wrong. Both my opinion and what studies show.

I think there should be a *LAW* that if children are homeschooled, then there should be people to check in to the house on the children's *mental & physical health* and to check if they're grades are good!
@phoebewilson6739

Grades aren't important so dont even compare them to the other stuff on the list. However them being homeschooled wasn't the red flag here, the red flag was that they only visited 2 places other than their home and the kids lickely had no friends and no social interaction other than inside their "padded" walls.

@SheSoSleepy
@SheSoSleepy 4 жыл бұрын
ZuraKeiko that is just one type of homeschool. Parents however can be their child’s only educator, being completely in charge of their education. It’s really common, especially with abuse like this.(it’s widely known to be unregulated and untracked.) What you did was technically a credited school with actual teachers available to meet, they just allowed the conscience of working from home. I did the same thing 10-12th grade, except mine was all book based and not a computer program. So I had to go written time logs that my mom had to sign off on since I was a minor. But yeah, I had to mandatory meet my teacher at the LEAST twice a month. But just letting you know there’s multiple types of homeschooling.

@jonesywails8382 6 жыл бұрын
That is the condition the world is in. Everyone is too busy working, surviving, watching trash TV, looking at their phone or eating cancer causing garbage to pay attention to, or get to know their neighbors. This is what public schools teach or indoctrinate your children with. Be like everyone else, destroy innocence, don't excel, don't think for yourself, get a job, pay your taxes. The movie "They Live" with Roddy Piper is a good example of what the government wants from you. YES, this is about the poor kids, but the government or state has the worse record of abuse when it comes to children.

What is the mental illness called for this? It is difficult to believe this happens, but it does. My mother would get us to get outside all the time when I was a kid. We built tree houses, played in the rain and fished for mudbugs and played hide and seek with all the other neighbor kids. Kids need to play with other kids!!! Why do kids not play out doors today???? These people are sick to the core and their children will need therapy for the rest of their lives.

Lockheed-Martin has some occult backgrounds. The company is involved is MANY top-secret operations and provide above military grade equipment. He probably had a connection that employed him at Locheed in return for his kids services. I suspect he was grooming them to become slaves of some fashion. Either sex slaves, or as totally obedient weapons. For example he could have been grooming the kids to execute ANY order they were given, continually ramping up the objective over and over. If you can get a kid to be literally starving, yet leave food out that they won't touch.. even if they could.. then imagine what else they could be programmed to do. He was progressively brainwashing them, no doubt about it.

Its not that people are afraid....its that people are taught to mind their own business. I lived in Salt Lake City when Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped. I saw her (and many others did too) around town with her captors. Even when police stopped Elizabeth Smart with her captors at the public library...and asked her "Are you Elizabeth Smart?" She said "no" and police went on their way.

Typically, in an investigation, investigators cannot provide concise answers to questions that there isn't enough gathered evidence about because saying "yes" or "no" creates an assumption that could lead to too much incorrect speculation about a case. About the journals, question is, did the parents read them, most likely yes. In many cults, some sort of leverage is taken or required. The fact they where allowed to have journals to express themselves could very well be used as just that, emotional leverage in some way. Break them down, get all their emotions out, leave them empty to fill them with your own stuff. Brain washing. He did part ways from their religious upbringing & from what we have heard made his own versions of how he interpreted the bible or scriptures, which is also yet a common thing for a religious cult leader to do, not to mention, getting other people to do their dirty work & by so put the "responsibility" on them. He was a family cult leader in the making, or rather that got stopped. 27 was the oldest right?! & over 20 years ago they have evidence of filth & marks on the doors from the oldest possibly being held captive... I really hope the kids can come out of this with some love & light in their lives. & I truly hope the parents rot in jail.

well, a lot of assumptions would have to be made for that to be true. Besides, the eldest was 29, way longer than needed for that type of conditioning. They were never going to let those kids go. At least that was their shortsighted goal. The father would have died from eating all that crisco in the pies and the kids would have fled their home and called authorities on the ones left behind.
