I’ve worked with a girl for more than 2 years and we’ve been friends throughout and dated different people. Recently she’s been extra nice, parking her car next to mine at work, and notices if I’m in a bad mood etc. we hung out the other day and talked for like 3 hours, and she shared tons of secrets. I feel like all the signs are there but I’m also cautious cause she’s been “flirty” with me before. She made a “people would think we’re dating comment” when we were together and alluded that she likes guys with similar traits to me. I'm not sure what's going on in my case. My roommate has been exhibiting several behaviors that are almost certainly flirty in nature, yet she has a boyfriend that she talks about all the time, yet she seems quite comfortable being in varying states of undress around me. Thus far I suspect she's been doing it because she wants to boost her self esteem because the behavior tends to coincide with her being stressed out but I may just as easily be a brick. I've decided to start flirting back to see whether she backs off a little or becomes emboldened.

Ok so I met this girl at work a few weeks ago she seems cool. We hit it off so far. I’m hoping to see where it goes. Whenever I stretch my arm out she touches my hand. On Tuesday last week we were at the library at some point she made a comment about how she needed lotion because her hands were dry. Well in my case it has been that we get together about monthly for 30 years. Her husband sometimes joins us, but I know he has questions LOL. My wife just feared her while she was alive. You can have a good relationship under such circumstances.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death. I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely to be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse. People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.
