I prefer 2.68 because it's tighter and faster...Also the tones in the original park mode have a bird chirp type quality to them that i like...I used v2.77 for over 8 months..Tried getting use to it but i missed my original 2.68 the whole time...Just a warning though if your machine didn't come with 2.62,67 or 68 you can't revert it...

I like version 2.68 the best...Just my personal preference i guess...It's tighter and faster than the other versions ....I had all the versions from 2.68 on up...It's not as deep as 2.77 or 78 but it smacks the coins better than any other version iv'e used..

@@jasonjulian1 Just remember you CAN'T revert back unless your machine came with 2.62,67 or 68...If your machine came with 2.76,77 or 78 and you try to put 2.68 on it..You will destroy the detector and Nokta won't cover it...

@@WeirdGuyInPark oh... Eek! I got my detector about a month ago ; came with the 2.78 fw. Probably best to just leave it be. Lol. Still love it nonetheless. I'm finding so many things in the same places where my Garret just failed..

Ya if it came with 2.78 YOU CAN'T put older versions on it..It will ruin it according to Nokta...If you want the older version you'll have to find one that had it on it originally..There's nothing wrong with 2.78 i used that version also..It's deeper than the older versions..But the feel of it is different due to the faster recovery speeds of 2.68..
