Wonderful!! I'm glad you've got some new clarifying questions to use in conversation. One note: "I'd like to learn your thoughts further." Rather than "learn" someone's thoughts we use "understand." So you could say, "I'd like to understand your thoughts further." 😊

Thank you so much for such useful video! Now I know how to ask for clarification. However, how can I give clarification or explanation when someone asks me for my clarification (in 1 of those senarios you mentioned). In other words, how I can respond if I am asked in 1 of 4 those situations. That must be a big help if you have another video for this topic. Thank you so much. I'm really waiting forward to your next video!!!
@Speakconfidentenglish

Thank you for the question. When someone asks for clarification, it's important to provide an alternative explanation. To do so we can use stories, examples, synonyms, and more. This is definitely a topic worthy of a future lesson! 😊

Is it possible even in a job interview for instance they ask me a question I don't understand? May I use them?( ex: what is my goal in the future I don't understand the question could I use them please? I passed a interview call center job they ask me a question so far, I can not know which question was .
@Speakconfidentenglish
@Speakconfidentenglish 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. In English job interviews, it is acceptable to clarify the question. You don't want to do so for every question but if there are 1 or 2 you are unsure about, it's definitely okay to ask for clarification.

There is a big problem that I don’t know how to deal with. I can understand your English here, but I can’t understand what people are saying in real life. Maybe it is because that different people have different accent. So i found the reason I don’t know what to say is that I’m always worried that I can’t understand.

Hi, KarenCareer! I'm sorry to hear this. It can be frustrating when you can't understand what is being said. I'd recommend revisiting this lesson and practicing scenario #4. Here is an example, My apologies; I'm unclear on what you have said. What do you mean by [repeat phrase]?
