I would just like to say that I respect Black. I think he is one of the few ex-cons that has removed and rejected the penitentiary mentality. He says what the pen life is but also makes a statement on what it means to be good and wholesome with none of that. A noteworthy quote from one of his interviews is that if you a regular citizen, tell the police what you see and work with the positive aspects of the system, although he acknowledges the bad sides. The bad sides being the injustice imprisonment and length of time individuals received (as well as the other slew of bad things such as the experience of the prison system). Hats off man. You are what Big Herc is trying to get out.
