This guy did 3 years at Marion. Until recently, that was the end of the line for the federal system. Marion was the replacement for Alcatraz UPS. You had to REALLY act up and cause havoc in the federal system to end up at Marion. Of all guys Herc has featured on his channel, this is the guy that has seen more and been through more than any of the guys featured on here. Pretty astonishing that he is handling life so well. Strong guy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but child molesters (as grotesque as they are) didnt cause a 100% increase in murders and a 200% increase in fetal deaths (not to mention thousands of robberies and gun crimes) almost overnight when crack took hold in LA. These men had to be punished hard as Cali was fucked.

@Jym E. Changa There are many different instances of vernacular depending on the situation and intended crowd - its called the pedagogy of linguistics. Growing up around the street scene in the bay during the hyphy movement lead me to adopt certain phrases and idioms. For some reason you decided to be a dickhead - but Im way above your level. Didnt your mother ever teach you that if you dont have anything nice to say, you should shut your mouth?

Many years ago I worked for a extradition company that transported inmates and we had this MDOC inmate that had been hit in the head with a padlock. I was in charge of watching him during his ICU stay until he was transported to a prison hospital in Mississippi. The black guy who was in his 50s now had been tried for crack cocaine trafficking during the early 90s because he had several bags in his vehicle and was sentenced to over 30 years for this. Regardless of what this man did as I watched him laying in that bed with that tube coming out of his head I felt very bad for this guy. He back in an era of overzealous prosecution of crack offenses had his freedom yanked away for what I feel was an excessive amount of time and while in custody he was hit in the head by another inmate with a padlock inside a sock causing a massive head injury. This man sometimes regained consciousness sometimes and I'd try to talk to him and ask him questions as I had read his file. The only thing this horribly injured man could recall was his prison inmate id number regardless of what question I asked that's all he would respond. It's haunted me because even if they dont give you a life sentence that's exactly what they take.. Your life. I used to have a tough stance on drug crime till I met this man and I feel horrible for all the young kids who are now old men that had their lives taken away for a few grams. The man I am speaking of sustained brain injuries he will never fully recover from and understand he will probably be childlike or vegetative for his remaining years... It's fucked up

Best of luck and love to cri cri, I'm a white boy in Minneapolis getting my CDL goin to start driving them rigs. After a felony it's the best job going if you want to make a good living. Probably one of the only industries that doesn't care what color you are, or what you did in the past. All they care about is keeping your license clean and showing up for work. If you do that you WILL make racks.

ryan olson The union trades are a great way to make a living too homie. Did 5 flat and have 4 felonies including two from my juvenile record. I’m a union glazier and I make more than enough to provide for my family and God willing one day retire. Congrats fellas. Not many of us make it out of being a convict.

What's fascinating is the way young, and impressionable minds are..I was guilty of it myself. You hear your older peers, or heroes talk about the things that got them where they are, and not where they're at. A young black kid from LA is probably watching this, and thinking about the time he'll get if hes caught. They catch the glamour and not the lesson. Again, I did the same. I admired the wrong people, I think, without looking at how their lives ended up. These guys aren't just saying how to survive inside, they're saying why its not worth it to risk it. Once those doors shut, you have no choice but to learn..or wish you had. Hindsight is 20/20 and some young people have to have proof that theyre wrong. Sadly, such advice rarely takes..its good that its out there, tho, because if it deters one, it will have been worth it.

Man righteous interview. I left at 21 and got out at 29. Man it's nothing in a jail cell, and being around a bunch of men ain't shit. To be able to eat what you want and to take long walks is beautiful, and I still get a blissful feeling. Kre kre spoke every feeling I felt when I first got out in 2014. To be able to sit on the porch smh man I hope a youngster took heed to this interview. AIN'T SHIT IN A JAIL CELL BUT A DREAM

What he say is right about getting your CDL. A lot of these companies don't give a damn about your record , you don't even need a GED. If you have a clean driving record you in there. One of my homies did 10 years now he's driving making 65000 a year. Not rich but damn sure not bad

@paulbrown357 ask the Russians how invading Afghanistan went very corrupt country tailor made for gurellia warfare plus we abandoned it for a senseless war in Iraq. The US secures poppy fields in the middle east and works with cartels. America tried offering Bolivia and other central American countries money to burn their cocoa plants but it's a cultural thing it'd be asking us to burn our flags and monuments
