Hi Sean, good to see you are on the road to recovery at the Homestead! Wow your veg is doing really well now! Re the nettles you can cook them and use them instead of Spinage they are best collected in the Spring though when they are younger. I love looking at all the knick-knacks when you are shopping. Excellent choice of music as the late great Terry Wogan would have described as "sliding doors and cuddly toy music" similar to that played in department store lifts! 🙂 Really enjoyed your mountain walk it is just so lovely hearing the river! Certainly colder and wetter over here now! The water butts are now full!!! We had to have the heating on last night was just too cold!! Anyway, take care and catch up soon. 🙂

Hi Sean, the camera idea sounds really good 😀. I have only seen about three butterflies all summer and why aren’t there any small birds when you gardening. There should be Robins and Blackbirds eating bugs and worms as you disturb the ground. It is very worrying and most people don’t realise without bees and other insects there won’t be fruit and crops. Here in Devon they are building hundreds of houses but then stopping because nobody can afford to buy them so like there they ruin the landscape and nature’s habitat for nothing which is very sad 😢

Great minds think alike. I went to the nearby river/marina at around 4pm yesterday, walked along the river where the lived in canal boats are. The midges were out in force, but it was quiet, the birds were about, so I just stood still in the fading sunshine & soaked it all in, listened & watched. I have beautiful countryside near me. Felt ready to come indoors after a late afternoon walk by the river. Others were all sat out drinking in the pub garden, making the most of being able to sit outside. I think having a live feed from The Homestead is a lovely idea! I only came across your channel a couple of months ago and I'm really enjoying the episodes. You are a natural in front of the camera, and the gardening is so calming to watch. Sorry to hear about your ill health. You seem to have "a handle" on the CFS though. It's a balance between doing things and resting sufficiently inbetween. That makes it sound easy to manage, but of course, it isn't, and it's very debilitating. It's also nice to see The Valleys again - I used to go there a lot years ago with work. Thank you for letting us into your life. Diolch.😀
