I Love that you run an Alternator! It's a Street Car right!! And you FINALLY polished that intake pipe! BOY you make me Proud...I have to say though, the only one thing I promise you'll regret doing is using those push lock fittings for what I presume is for Meth Injection. You should throw those fittings in the Trash when you get a chance, and use the tried and true compression style fittings with the little crush collar. After one season or less the pushloc fittings will leak OR the winter will get them and they'll be useless the next year you use them. Ohio is to hard on them parts. Maybe if you lived in Alabama or Florida I wouldn't say anything. But...love it all, Dont Stop!!!

@@joshratcliff3065 it's not that much harder. Although he would need an intercooler unless he was going to run alcohol/methanol. Absolutely nothing wrong with a carb though. They work very well until you run out the capacity of a single carb.

I know cost more but the tuning ability you have with a good aftermarket fi system can't be beat. Like safety features to help keep you from blowing the motor up and the ease of changing the power output with the stroke of a few keys on the laptop.

@@Stevesbe It really doesnt cost much to go efi . I use a ls1 ecu on my gen 1 383 w/ s488 . Because the last generation of the sbc was close to the gen 3 efi your able to use that along with hp tuners for cheap tunable efi setups.

One of the reasons my son and I love that truck. Were putting together a 3rd gen Camro. And I once mentioned a LS motor as a motor to run. He didn't like that idea too much. He's been set on a 400 SBC long before I hooked him on this BadAss S-10. Too me, this truck is one cool piece of machinery. They get more performance from that truck than I would ever expect. That thing will pull the fronts on a dirt road. The way that truck hooks is what impresses me the most.

@@billyt.7387 yes i watch in awe how well it hooks.i battled several years with my malibu and it never hooked that well.once i took it to real prepped track and man was that enjoyable doing these real live wheelies.i managed 1.4 60 ft and those did feel awesome until you got used to them.my friend drove my 526 blower engine with 6000 rpm launches and boy did it send itself!!

Looking to try and get under 11 seconds. My son is driving now. He's 18 and has ran a 12.1 in a slightly modified Challenger. Pretty much slicks and a cold air system were the only mods. He got scuffed up some doing the dirt bike thing. So he's gonna stay on 4 wheels. Myself, I'm on the hunt for a "G body" Malibu. Love those cars. Good day.

FWIW, you don’t have to worry about the oil pump shaft, once the driven gear on the distributor has meshed with the drive gear on the camshaft the timing is established; just slowly rotate the engine until the distributor drops over the oil pump drive shaft/rod. Try it you won’t be disappointed and it saves a lot of frustration. JD

When poppin caps.. Cross your left hand thumb over your right hand below the slide obviously. But it helped me with barrel droop on the flinch for trigger pull. It tightens up the wrist a little more and is more stable. What the guy who owns midwest shooting center out by me told me i had a droop and my follow shots kept being off by more than it needed to. tightened my groupings up quite a bit

Take the engine stand mounting plate off the stand and bolt it to the engine. Much easier than using the engine lift to align the bolts into the threads

Nothing more badass than a beautiful woman working on a race car. Still hits my rev limiter watching my lady check my plug gaps or doing a compression check before a drift event. She can adjust the valves too. She also rebuilt her yz125 top end with minimal input from me. definitely marrying this one. She's also a cop.
