They say Chen has the strongest voice, and I can't disagree with that. He has the high pitch and all, but Kyung Soo's voice is still my favorite! I don't know ... his just sound angelic and so good in the ears, and whenever he sings his part, even when I hadn't been into Exo before the way I do now, it's his voice that I could tell very clearly. It's just very distinct. And look at his facial expression when he sings! You can tell he really feels the song ^-^

I think both of them have pleasant voices to listen to but I think chens voice is a lot more emotional and it is a lot more powerful than the other exo members. Chen is definitely needed in exo because he doesnt strain while belting high notes or singing low notes as much as the other members so he can sing those harder parts instead so the others dont have to do it and ruin their voices.

If Chen sings in his lower register like in this one, he sounds as smooth as D.O. Sadly, SM makes him belt the high notes often, which is technically superb but not as heartwarming as low/mid register.

I hate how some people keep comparing both of them and or how some biased fans keep saying their bias(chen/ Kyungsoo/Baekhyun) is better then the other two. Three of them have different types of style and tone. My bias is Lay(That adorable unicorn tho ;u;), but hands down, I love Chen, Kyungsoo and Baekhyun's voice the most in EXO. @@thegreatsupremeleader4487Couldn’t agree more with you. I personally like D.O.’s voice more than Chen. And I think in most part people quickly adapt to D.O.’s voice since he has this type of sweet and smooth voice. In term of vocal technique though it’s obvious that Chen is on the higher level. He can pick up any part of a song without the previous part being sung, has wider range of vocal, never out of tune, and so on. I think I haven’t found any flaw in Chen’s singing. Like in this cover thru the end of the song both of them harmonizing it can clearly be heard the difference where Chen smoothly does the vibrato vs D.O. who’s almost if not out of tune.

Chen is my bias and I totally agree~ kyungsoo has a voice with soul. Chen has an amazing range and he physically has soul, you know, and he makes the song his own by adding the whole "hoo hoo HOO" part LOL and he's very musically inclined.
