Thank you - now I know why I ❤️ Australia - I’ve been there back in ‘83 - lived in Rosebay - near Bondi Beach - but I need another visit - I love it there - I’m from - Toronto - Canada 🇨🇦 - similar places but with unique differences - wishing both of you a happy new year 😊

We moved from Central QUEENSLAND to Melbourne because QLD was too hot. That was a big mistake, Melbourne is freezing 9-10 months of the year! Also biggest problem with Australia is the housing crisis. If you don't own a home you can forget it. Government only considers home owners as they are the majority voters.

Hallo Quokkaroo. Julle lyk oulik. Verskoon dat ek n vraag in engels copy masr ek sal jul opinie so baie waardeer. I‘m a South African currently living in Germany. We (my husband and I and out 3 kids) would like to move to Perth. We hope to find those friendly people and replenish our vitamine D deficiency. Perth seems quite dry-more like Pretoria, is this tue or are there parts and especially suburbs that are more like Cape Town. I am sure the city is amazing but I reckon it makes sense to settle outside of the CBD. Again, what I‘ve seen seems dry with little greener. is there a - to put it blandly- is there a pretty suburb that you would recommend living in. Dis nie omdat ek in n grand area wil bly nie, ek en my man wil graag ons lewenskwaliteit verhoog en n mooi omgewing is vir ons n hoë prioriteit. Dankie byvoorbaat.

Having someone clean my house is unusual in Australia Having an attendant at the petrol station to fill your car up I guess it would feel a little bit embarrassing having someone do that for you but I believe they did it back in the hay days prospective

Yep, very different in ZA vs Aus on these fronts!

In the 70s they would fill your car.Clean windscreen and check oi and water.Nowhere now drs that.They used to have a mechanic on duty at petrol stations .

Canada the same way . Hey, Siri is being isolated I’d rather be isolated from the United States. I’ve had so much trouble with criminal of investigator, horseracing and things breaking down, coming across the US border, guard money flooding in our horse race tracks.

Australia best country on the planet and we’re surrounded by water so no unexpected visitors,as long as you have a go and don’t want welfare and handouts you’re welcome.

I moved to Australia 25 years ago. I now call this place home. Everyone gets a fare go here, and as long as you're willing to work, life's good. I don't get it why others rely on handouts even if they're strong enough to work.

Australia is going to be an interesting social and economic experiment. "What happens long term when you keep salaries for non skilled jobs artificially inflated?" I mean, why study during years when you can just get a trade job which you learn in less than 1 year and be done with it?
@4seasonsaircon68 Жыл бұрын
What trade do you learn in less than 1 year , most trades ie HVAC engineer or plumber or electrician is a 4 year apprenticeship, and you still need years of experience under your belt . Much better than south africa, some people in the building are jack of all trades here and masters of none( no qualifications). Hence why the quality of workmanship is substandard in the building industry in south africa
@petermcculloch493310 ай бұрын
I am an Australian.I respect doctors, nurses, drivers, electricians, mechanics, shop assistants, gardner's, teachers,cleaners, infact, everyone who provides a service.Some of those people earn a high wage and some earn a livable income but all contribute to the community.
@rafae590210 ай бұрын
@@petermcculloch4933 I agree Peter, anyone who does a honest job should be respect. Now, there's an intrinsic difference in value and difficulty for each kind of job. To anyone who disagrees with that, I invite them to go to a surgery table and be operated by the guy who cuts their grass or make their nails. That's my point. I know that healthcare pays REALLY well in Aus, but others high skilled professions sometimes don't. Meanwhile, you have an artificially inflated low skilled job salary, kept there only because the law says.
@francoisbotha31425 ай бұрын
@@rafae5902lol, you must be joking right? As an electrician, I did a 4 year apprenticeship with studying as well. That is the same as most degrees, then you need to build up experience. Then only you will become a good tradesman. In my opinion tradies don’t get paid enough, it may be biased. We are the back bone of the community that makes sure you have electricity, water, a house, a car. Name anything and a tradesman was involved in the process. Hope you have a good day mate and remember to thank a tradie😉
