In this video I wanted to try to recreate a swipe I did in video number 83 with the same colors on a bigger scale. I almost like this new one better, what do you think? Jodi this is fantastic. I did see video 83 but I don’t recall it exactly except that I liked it. But I think I’d probably like this one better because it’s larger. I haven’t been looking at Blooms for a while because I got so discouraged that mine never turned out that I was starting to hate painting which is not a good thing. So I just started doing my own pours I may still try to do some blooms before the summer ends because that’s when my painting has to end. That always makes me so sad when the end of October comes and I have to put everything away. Paint everywhere. On my body mostly my forearms, my nose my chin and don’t even ask me how many pants and shirts and ruined. How can you not this is a messy business. Love seeing your work again as always.

This is really nice, Jodie. I like it better than 83. I'm doing Christmas coasters and you gave me an idea, because the swirls in the center look like a ribbon on a present. Maybe I could bring out the swirls to look like a bow. I need new ways because there's only so many things you can do with a red and green bloom.

I get paint in areas that are crazy. I will go out after poured and people I don't even know will tell me I have paint some where weird on my body. Im a messy painter and I always touch my face. You are not alone.i am going to try this right now. But I don't have all your beautiful Colors and pigments. :( I love yours of course. I tell you getting better at your video editing. :)

This is as usual divine but, not enough purple! You mention spilling, splattering and other means of spreading paint and all associated paraphernalia that goes with it. When I first attempted to paint I just wore my ordinary clothes - now confined to painting clothes. I happened to get some drips on my new black trousers, I knew my partner would be a bit cranky about this so I took the trusty black texter and textered out all the drips! Anyway, that night when I was taking my trousers off my partner looked at me aghast, "Good God, what have you done to yourself this time? I looked down and tricky texter had bled though the fabric and mad all these little splodges of what looked like bruises. I had to fess up!!! Jo from Canberra

Oh my gosh Jo 🤣 thanks so much for sharing your story that is just too funny! I bet you have designated paint clothes now 😃, I have to have that myself and an apron although sometimes I miss it and wipe my hands on my pants 😳😂💜💜

@@ThePaintedDreamer Yes dedicated clothes and aprons. I have four aprons, one new and the others stand up for themselves. It's not a case of me missing the apron, the paint misses them too!

Thank you so much Paulette! I was using the Australian floetrol CA so the ratio was 4:1. When I use the US floetrol I’ll bump up the ratio to 9 or 10:1 🤗💜🤗

Beautiful, Love this!!...places with paint?!? Took my shirt off to take a shower. Happen to get paint on my chest when I went to blow... Oh yeah, it soaked through my shirt.. Don't need to say more😝😅😅😂 splattered on my leg once or twice.. Don't know how, but glad I was wearing shorts and didn't ruin another pair of pants.😌

Hi Roy 😃👋🏻 welcome to acrylic pouring, I specialize specifically in the blooms technique here on my channel which is a specific technique underneath the fluid art and acrylic pouring umbrella 🤗. Once this piece cures I will either varnish or resin it, I haven’t decided yet. Have fun painting! 🌺

I went to Lowe’s today to pick some up. The person behind the counter told me they have been out for quite a while and heard they were discontinuing it ! Yikes! Have you heard that yet? Or have you bought any lately?

Hi Mark 🤗 Totally get a squeegee and don’t be afraid to use it! I say that because when I got mine it sat there for a few months because I was afraid of it haha! It really is a lot of fun to swipe with. I got that one at the dollar tree but I’m on the lookout for a bigger one. I’m so glad you love the Valspar, I haven’t heard anything about it being discontinued though. There were rumors of the Infinity being discontinued but nothing ever came of that and every time I go to Lowe’s they have plenty. I just went last week to get more of the Valspar and they had a good amount there. I’m always testing something here so if they do end up discontinuing it I’ll find us something else to use 🤗🌺

This is fantastic as is #83. It’s always difficult for me to decide what to do with a larger canvas! I get paint everywhere! My husband asks me why I wear an apron when I wipe my hands on my pants or shorts!

Thank you Kathi! I’m finding that too with larger ones especially when I want to swipe. I’m currently looking for a bigger squeegee type tool to you know go bigger 😂. I’ve come close to wiping my hands on my shorts a time or too instead of my apron, I probably won’t hold out much longer doing that! 💜

For your small blooms how long do you typically let them dry before you put varnish or resin in is it as long as the large paintings? I wait two weeks for drying before I put varnish on

I typically wait about 4 weeks for any of my pieces but if they are a bit larger or it’s a little more humid in my area I may go as long as 5 weeks just to be sure. 😊💜

Hi, what can I use to thin my paints if I don’t have josanja gloss varnish. I’m using the triple thick and untainted paint.

Hi Kristy - I like to use GAC 800 to thin my paints, any acrylic extender should work also. You could also try changing the ratios when you mix up your pouring medium, if you mix 3:1 maybe try 2:1, especially if you are using tube paints as they’ll be thicker 😊
