We are not paying to watch, and it is making the sport less popular, not more popular. We don't pay to watch football, basketball, baseball etc. This is hurting wrestling.

Daniel Contreras no it’s pretty close but I’d say 2 if you expose your back in college which is extremely hard to do it’s gotta be fast. From our angle it looks like desanto was in the clear but he rolled over his head which means his back was still exposed through the roll through

In both match it looks like seth gross has been the better wrestler for the first half and desanto the last half of the match. Hard wrestling seems to wear on seth gross in both matches. Be interesting to see what happens later in the year with game plans on both part side. And thanks BIG TEN Network for showing this for free.

If I was Gross I would work on conditioning and handling the pressure, that's the only thing Desanto has is that huge gas tank and Savage pressure.

At 5:58 the ref should have started a danger count. Desanto was on his back grasping Gross' far ankle to defend the takedown. He broke 90 degrees for a whole 6 seconds. I know it's a newer rule, but it is a rule so they need to do a better job in enforcing it.

FA Flick if you’re in neutral in a scramble position and one wrestler has their back exposed (breaking 90 degrees) for I believe a three count, a takedown is awarded.

133lbs is certainly very wide open. Gross is not the typically great wrestler that no one can score on. Fix and Suriano were impossible to take down. With Seth, I see two to three more losses for him.

I believe it's a pretty recent rule change where if you back out of bounds in neutral position it is automatic stalling. They're doing this in high school at least, I could be wrong about its integration into college rules

@@justinmaguire169ah that's another rule. You only have a certain amount of time that you can hold onto the ankle before being called for stalling and Gross exceeded it. You can see the ref counting once Gross drops to the leg.
