Those stoppages always feels strange, Yung Luffy was in full control of that fight, didn't seem affected by the head kick at all other than cosmetically. Understandable why it's stopped though, pretty much the same in all amateur and novice MMA I've seen. Feel like a cut should be a No Contest though.

@@ronmka8931 Because it wasn't actually a fight ending cut, the opponent was beginning to rain down shots. The fight being stopped was due to safety precautions they have to take as an amateur promotion, not because of the effectiveness of the strike, in which case a NC is more appropriate imo. Fedor vs Nogueira 1, in a professional promotion, was called a NC due to the cut to Fedor. It prevented the fight from going forward for legal reasons, but did not amount to a defeat of Emelianeko. Same here imo.

The worst part about the cut is that it looked like it was a toe nail that caused the cut, it would be unfair to DQ the kick boxer over an accidental scratch but I think this should be a no contest.

I mean a doctor stoppage is USUALLY still a win but I hear you man. My biggest problem with this channel has always been the reffing. The ‘lets fight!’ guy use to ruin the fights all the time by just getting way to damn close to the fighters. Literally touching them when they were on the ground.. so frustrating. Now this guy threatens to stand them up when that guy was in mount lol. I know hes been around for a while but he has a boxing back ground and prob cant wrestle for shit so hes gotta be biased. Im rambling here but street beefs would be 100 percent better with a ref that at least knows the rules and how to enforce them.

I mean we've seen fights with 5 times as much blood as that in the ufc, basically any prime tony or diaz brothers fight had way worse bleeding as examples, that cut wouldn't have stopped the fight in the ufc at all. Don't really know why you would think it would.

I could be wrong but if red were to take control of blue's left arm and hand by first completing the transition to back control, then get his left hand under blue's arm, to try and stretch the arm out and up a bit. So he could then tuck his left knee under blue's arm pit, and throw his right leg over blue's head, using the control of blue's arm as a pivet point in a sense. Lock his legs and drop to his back, aching it to hyper extent blue's elbow. He could seal the deal right now.

I feel like being well rounded is what’s needed to be king in mma like your self, you can jump in their Muay Thai with rod tang and strike with him, and can go down on the mat and wrestle with Henry Cejudo. There’s a couple one trick ponies but versatility is everything imo

If anyone has not learned a martial art and wants to be good all around. I would say start with wrestling/grappling. I did boxing in the 90s and got decent at it. When I started wrestling, everything seemed almost counter intuitive to what I had learned from boxing. I have never been so terrible at something. It was still great fun though. I think wrestlers transition into strikers better than the other way around.
