1360 sq ft was a normal sized house for forever. My family of 4 and dog lives in a 1954 ranch style home 3/2 that is just under 1300 sq ft and its 100% fine. Not fancy but fine.

Minus the zero property it would work as a starter home or for a couple/ one kid setup. Can't stand the apartments they sell as homes. Here your lot is not quite large enough to place another home on it (it's a yard)

In Korea an apartment will cost you anywhere from 200k -400k for starters This actually looks super cozy and would chose it over any apartments in here. Housing prices here are insane.

That's insane. House prices here are getting there. The average price in San Antonio right now is around 300k, whereas before 2020, it was 250k. It's nice to see some affordable homes and interest rate deals.

At about $150 a square foot with no appliances or window treatments and the most inexpensive finishes available, they seem like a great deal for the developer.

I get what you are saying. People just want to be able to move into an inexpensive home. It does come with a dishwasher, stove, tankless water heater but no blinds or window covers. All the extra things you could add would just add to the price and with a builder markup and finance charges. Save the money and get your own stuff

Valid points on appliances and window treatments, but I do remember being at a place in my life where that was a big deal to me. I simply couldn't put a down payment down AND buy appliances and window treatments. I have no idea the prevailing price of homes in your area, but the price just seems high to me for LVT, cheap plumbing, and hollow core doors.

I currently live in a 1,360qft home right now with 2 boys and the wife. Granted im on 6,000sqft lot but this home isn’t bad at all. Great starter. You people commenting that this is a tiny home have been spoiled. Not everyone wants to drive 10 minutes to the grocery store and 30 minutes to work everyday. Other than farmers than need acreage theres a reason people actually live like this. Less upkeep and much more affordable to maintain in the long run. Although anything smaller than this is definitely not acceptable.

Reasons for No basements in Texas: problems associated with clay soil type, water table too close to surface, bedrock too close to surface, adds unnecessary costs. Depending on where you look in Texas, one or more of these reasons will answer why we don't basements here.

@@nbtxliving Lennar is the same nationwide. It's got to do with zoning land restrictions. In California, the economy is filled with higher-income residents than Texas, so we prefer bigger-sized homes. The last, majority tiny 750 sq. ft. homes were built in 1985 around Moreno Valley, CA area.

Yeah, we really love those acreage properties. Builders are really trying to use up all of the space. Even in some 1 million plus neighborhoods, they have less than 20 ft between properties.

Privacy can come at a price, though. You could for sure have some more privacy here with some window coverings and a screened gazebo in the backyard. We live in a house that is much bigger and has a bigger backyard, and we had to make some changes to get better privacy.
