Sorry about your lid Peter. Regarding hydrometer readings, I can recommend testing and calibrating them in water. If they read too low, try scraping off a bit from the bottom using a fine file. If it reads too high, add small bits of tape to the top, to make it sink to the right level.

Great video Peter. Will be interested in seeing how adding the Torefied wheat will work out as I have often thought of adding a bit to a few of my bitter recipes but never have yet.

Dts1953 I’ll do a comparison video against version 1 which had no torrified wheat and version 2 here which does. See how much difference there is.

Hi Peter. Enjoying watching your videos! Quick question. When you talk about bringing the volume back up to 45l. Are you using pre heated sparge water or are you dumping fresh cold water in and bringing back up to boil? And if so, how long from end of boil? Cheers pal

If you add one of these disconnects to your tap it should fit your bulldog pump I think, I have both systems as well. www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/stainless-steel-male-quick-disconnect-12-female-npt-p-3298.html

Nice video Peter! FYI I see Tring brewery in your intro. Are you a member? If so perhaps I will see you at the members night? I am there on the Friday! Cheers!

Saffer Brew alas I’m not a member unfortunately, probably should be but never got round to it. Tring do some excellent beers. I’m a member of Rebellion in Marlow.

You sometimes seem disheartened but to your credit you keep going. Good for you.

4Figgis You have good brew days you have bad brew days, always got to believe the next one will be better! I’ll brew a nice simple McMullens AK next weekend, 23 litre brew - should be nice and easy.
