Great hunt. I have only found 1 Barr note in circulation. Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think I've found 8 of them now. They aren't worth a lot, but are among the oldest bills you'll find in circulation. I haven't found anything older than a 1963 series bill. Thank you for the comment, and I hope to see you later this month at the Christmas dinner.

I keep bills from 1993 and older, I usually don’t care about condition because it adds character but I love finding them in perfect condition. Nowadays the older bills are getting harder to find
@ChangeIsGoodCoinHunts10 ай бұрын
Yeah, the condition for me isn't really an issue, either. I started out keeping anything from 2001 and older, but I ended up finding too many for my comfort. I then changed it to 1981 and earlier, then realized I just don't find any 1983 notes and very few from 1985, so that's where I stopped. I'd like to find more 1988 A - 1995 notes, as that would give me more chances to find a web note. Thank you for the comment!

I had no idea people collected all this. I knew the star notes and fancy numbers were but didn't know how much is considered a desirable number.

The market has somewhat exploded over the past year or so. I didn't know this was even a thing until a couple of years ago. There are notes that I don't bother keeping that people still sell online for more than face value, although I do keep some of the lower-end finds that I come across. Honestly, it's all up to the individual. Thank you for the view and comment!

Hey, I know your channel! I know you've found some epic stuff, one of the few other guys that's found a 1992 D Close AM in circulation. I only do currency once a month, because once I'm done with them all, by eyes almost fall out. Of course, now's the time to hunt currency while the 2013 B-series star notes are still in circulation, plus with all of the 2021 series notes starting to get out there with fresh, unsearched serial numbers. Thank you for the view and comment, and I hope your next hunt is an epic one!

I’m sorry but sometimes it just feels like you are fishing for a good note. Those that are a mixed ladder, I mean,, seriously, . Like I said it just seems like you are trying to find something in the pile of notes. The 2 date notes. The best that I believe are serious finds are the different star notes.
@ChangeIsGoodCoinHunts7 ай бұрын
There was a time when I would've agreed with you. It wasn't that long ago, only a few months, actually, where I would never keep a mixed ladder note. I did when I first started hunting through bills, but I found too many of them and was never impressed with them, so I stopped keeping them at all. I then had someone comment on one of my earlier videos asking if I ever found mixed ladder notes. I told him that I do, but I don't keep them because they aren't worth the effort of pulling out. In fact, I'm still not impressed with them, as they have no eye appeal to me, but I started keeping them. The reason for this is after I received the comment from the viewer about them, I did some research and saw that they were selling for $2-$8 a piece on eBay. That was enough money to make some profit off of them, even if they are sold in lots. I then saw one that sold on a market report video about recent currency sales, and at that point I decided to start keeping them. The market has changed, and things that didn't have value two years ago do now. I change my hunts accordingly. As for the dual-date notes, they typically sell for $7-$10 on eBay on the low end. Another unimpressive note I keep are the ones with two triples in the serial number. I had a friend of mine make $10 profit of of a $20 bill with two triples in the serial number, and that was to a dealer! I've always had standards when keeping notes, but I've changed those standards to reflect the market. Lastly, I'll ask you this: do you think it's reasonable to accuse someone of "fishing for good notes" when they're going through over 11,000 bills? With that sort of volume, you're bound to find something decent without needing to fish. Thank you for the view and comment, and feel free to share you thoughts with me anytime.

@ChangeIsGoodCoinHunts10 ай бұрын
I don't have any with 1983 on them yet. You might be able to find one on eBay that's for sale. I'll try and remember that year when I do my next currency hunt in a couple of weeks.

Why bep enployees remove certain numbers ? Im like imma go work there then?
@ChangeIsGoodCoinHunts8 ай бұрын
I apologize for the late reply, I just noticed this comment. They remove certain serial numbers mainly for the purpose of selling them to collectors directly from the BEP novelties. Again, my apologies for the tardiness, and thank you for the comment!

You must be into Civil War history! This is the date the famous 54th Massachusetts Regiment departed for the war. This is a very important Civil War date. Send me an email (found at the bottom of the video description) with your information and we'll discuss it through email. Thank you for the view and comment!
