Charlotte, that is a GREAT find! You found a two-in-one special fancy serial number. I just checked eBay, and a note in likely similar shape with the serial number 00222200 sold for $22.50 with $5.25 for shipping. So, based on that, I'd say you could likely get anywhere between $20 and $40 for it. They can vary quite a bit. Thank you for sharing, and I hope to get back to currency sometime next month. I took a break this month from bill searching to work on some projects for the channel. Thank you for sharing your bill and for the view and comment!

Sorry man, true birthday notes are always in order

I thought so, too, until I started checking the market. Both formats sell quite easily. The European format has the year first, then month and day. Not everyone uses the North American format, with the month, day then year. I only keep notes with the North American and European date formats. Some people even keep and sell notes with the year, month and day, or the month, day and year. What is considered a "true" birthday note is arbitrary and not based on any consensus outside of where someone lives. If you're in Europe, they'll tell you that the month/day/year format isn't a true birthday note, either. I won't keep anything other than the two well-used formats. I prefer the North American format, which I refer to as the "primary" format. The European format is "secondary." To me, anything else is hard to justify, although they often sell, too. I recommend you check the online sales for birthday notes, and you'll find that what I say is true. They're actually among the most valuable notes, as long as you post them as "buy it now" listings and don't rely on auction sales. They'll easily sell for $20-$30 each, sometimes more if they are a really important date. Thank you for the comment, as there was a time when I agreed with you 100%. After spending time on it and seeing what's been selling, and also gaining an understanding that the format used in the U.S. isn't the only format used in the world, I've changed my opinion on this. Both formats can sell, but the primary format will likely command a higher premium in the U.S.. It's preferred, but not mandatory, and other people will prefer the European, or "secondary" format instead. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed the video.
