Hey, I love to hear about inexpensive perfumes that are good, Sarah. Not a perfume snob here because I cannot afford to be! I'll have to get the Cuba Miami, in particular. My biological family is from Miami-I was adopted at 3 days old- and owned a huge agricultural operation in Cuba when Castro took over. I won't go into the rather disturbing details (I have a video on my homesteading channel about my family's story and the death of my father), but I have a sort of connection to Cuba as well as Miami. I know it's a weird reason to get a fragrance, right? That one sounds really nice. I see that The Perfume Spot has some great deals on the multi packs as well as the individual ones. Their shipping is about a buck less than most others, I found, in case anyone is interested. Thanks for reviewing this house. I would probably not have even looked if you hadn't. ~Cynthia

@@SarahMayes I just got my Cuba fragrances and I've tried all of them, but I read the back of the Jungle collection box and these are associated with New Brand Perfume House!I had no idea the connection until I read the small print on the back. I'll let you know if the Cuba Victory smells like New Brand Hola, both dupes of Olympea. I think it does, but I was testing so many, wasn't wanting to also put Hola on me at the same time. I was pretty fragrant, haha. I like them all except maybe Jungle Snake. That one is the Angelica-heavy one and maybe that's the issue....at first, it smelled sort of, for lack of a better word, poopy, LOL. I'll test it again another day. Adding that on paper, Snake smells nice, but on my skin, it literally makes me gag. Weird, huh? The others are good.

@@SarahMayes I have never had something smell so different on my skin than it did on the blotter! I guess that's a prime example of how skin chemistry really is the end of the story for any perfume. Jungle Snake really smells funky on me, yikes! Cuba Victory is a spot on dupe for Olympea and almost identical to the New Brand Hola perfume as well. I like it! I love Tiger, especially. For those prices, worth taking a chance and finding even one great one, I think, but finding several is amazing for such a small investment. Thanks again! Have a great weekend.

I had no idea there were so many in this line. I bought a Cuba fragrance in the Perfumania store years ago. It was a spicy tobacco, vanilla based fragrance and looked exactly like a cigar. After watching your haul I’m intrigued, I’m going to check them out. I love that you explore brands like this with an open mind, introduce us to them as well. It’s a lot more interesting than running out and buying the latest hyped fragrance. Charlotte is so adorable helping you test perfumes. ❤️

I discovered the Cuba brand in 2023. So far, I own the 35 ml 'cigar' of Jungle Snake which, on my skin, does smell eerily close to RL Romance (of which I still have a 50% full bottle purchased in 2000, original formula). I recently bought Jungle Tiger. A very violet-y magnolia & a touch too sweet for my taste but it's growing on me. Gorgeous, soft drydown. Ditto for Snake--takes a lovely, iris-y/powdery turn upon drydown. I find these cheapies surprisingly well blended & balanced. Good sillage & longevity as well (on me). Snake actually smells better to my nose than Romance! Btw, Tiger blends well with Jovan White Musk. Snake pairs well with EA True Love. So I will soon order Jungle Zebra, Cuba Victory, Cuba Too Sexy For You, Cuba Trouble (dupe for CH Good Girl, not my olfactory cup of tea but I'm curious & I know I can return it). Can you please tell me which designer scent inspired Too Sexy For You? I found the notes but do not know what it's a dupe for. Update: I found my answer! Cuba Too Sexy For You is a dupe for (original) Kenzo Flower. So happy!

I had a Snake and I agree - it’s clean, out of shower but sophisticated, fresh fragrance, without any sweetness. Sadly, on my skin it was so nice for 20mins, and then, gradually, it started to dry down to extremely annoyng cheap base. Since then I keep kind of distance from Cuba scents. I’m so curious if Snake would do the same thing on your skin. I immediately got rid of it, now I think that maybe I should have give it a try in different conditions, but I suppose the quality of it made me completely hopeless. I don’t know. I would love to hear your thoughts after full test of Snake 😊 I love your videos ☀️.

The Lomani ones I've tried are sooo good. I have one that's a dupe for Scandal. It's delicious and smells very high end! I've also smelled one that's a dupe for Viva La Juicy and it was so good as well. Wait why does anyone get mad that you're trying cheap fragrances? I can't think of any reason at all. I'm glad you're trying these since I've seen these before and have always overlooked them!

Have you tried Cuba Beauty? I plan to order it. There's just no info; it's not in Fragrantica's database. Don't know what it's a dupe for. An amazon customer said it smells very "rich", evocative of "champagne & dried roses" & the best part (for her) is the "smoky drydown".

@@SarahMayes I pulled the proverbial trigger so Cuba Beauty is in transit to me, along with Jungle Tiger of which I own the 35 ml but now want the 100 ml. I returned Too Sexy For You; I just couldn't make peace with that cassis note. Addendum: After some poking around, I deduced that Cuba Beauty might be a dupe for YSL Yvresse--the original 1993 formula--when it was called Champagne. With double the rose, a mossy (smoky) drydown, a deep, rich, fruit-liqueur vibe. I'll soon find out!

Hi Sarah! I'm back with my verdict re: Zebra, Victory, Trouble, Too Sexy For You. So far, I have returned all but Too Sexy For You. Zebra (dupe for J'Adore) is too aquatic-fresh-ozonic for my taste, plus too (nauseatingly) orchid-heavy. Very pretty, versatile & easy to wear--just not for me. Victory (dupe for Olympea) is rather vintage-face-powder-cosmetic-y & normally I enjoy that vibe but here it smells funky-old-rancid, revoltingly so. Trouble (dupe for Good Girl) is quite pleasant IF you enjoy gourmands. Superbly blended; main accords are citrus, white floral, & edible notes, especially cacao-almond-coffee-vanilla. Not too sweet at all, surprisingly. A warm, cool-weather scent. Low projection, sits close to skin but lasts well. Just far too chocolate-y for me. I own 70+ perfumes & not one is a gourmand! Too Sexy For You--I assumed this is a dupe for Kenzo Flower as both fragrances share most of the listed notes. I could be wrong as it's not powdery. It's primarily a citrus-y, creamy rose. Warm, feminine, but not too girly. A bit too creamy-fruity-sweet for me but it may grow on me (as Tiger did). Not sure about that herbaceous-earthy cassis note balancing the sweetness. Top: strawberry, lemon, bergamot, cassis, chantilly cream, blackcurrant Mid: rose, jasmine, lily of the valley, ylang ylang Base: vanilla, oakmoss, opoponax, musk

People are weird! First off: isn't this your channel? You do you! Those that spit on affordable should perhaps live my life for a year or two. See how they talk then. Plus, even if you can afford to buy a niche fragrance per day: that still doesn't mean affordable or cheap is bad. Apparently almost no one seems to know that the margins on perfumes are over 95 percent, no matter what brand. Yes, those marketing budgets cost a bunch, but that simply means that a brand that doesn't use a famous person can lower their prices so significantly they become cheap in comparison, or even in the eyes of us poor peeps ;). While a brand like Cuba *might* use less expensive materials, that isn't always the case. Most ingredients, especially in the EU, are so regulated that the original strong materials can't be used by anyone. So they all use the same chemical/ created stuff. Meaning that Cheap brand X is quite likely to be just as great as Expensive known brand Y. But because the latter comes in different bottles, with a pretty commercial attached to it and is sold in brick & mortar stores they *seem* better. Anyway, so many of us globally would love more affordable options to smell like a snack. I'm a budget babe to the max because due to serious medical mistakes I'm very ill and my benefits barely cover my primary expenses. I've been researching and there are so many cheap brands out there, you can create 20 videos! If you need some inspiration here are a few: Examples: La Rive, BN Parfums, Bi-Es, Eclat, Omerta, Linn Young, Divain, Federico Mahoro, Close2, Zaien, Rich & Ruitz, Riiffs, Saphir Parfum, Aquarius Parfums/ACQ fragrances (last two are Spanish and not dupes, at least not Saphir), Eyfel, Real Time, Tiverton... and I'm sure my brain is missing a few now. Not to mention the glorious options the Middle East gives us (would love to see a few dedicated videos to that. And then maybe not the same old Armaf and Lattafa fragrances, but a few unexpected ones and some Rasasi, Al Maghribi, Rave or Afnan included). Thanks Sarah! Love your videos ❤️.
