Your video inspired me, Emilia. I see you made it over a year ago but just as inspiring today. Well done! I would say that was quite an achievement in 14 days. I’m learning that waltz at the moment but I have not made that much progress in a month. Easy to make excuses for not spending as much time at the piano as one would like but one thing I take from your video is the usefulness of setting goals. I must do that. I have one disadvantage compared to you, I’m recently turned 76 yrs old and the old fingers are getting a bit stiff but just playing the piano as a hobby is still a great joy.

I have been hypnotized by this piece for months, unfortunately I had sold my piano 2 months ago so I have been practising at my local train station. This video really lit a spark in me to start saving up for another piano. Beautiful playing and I like your dog. Cheers!

Fantastic video!!! Absolutely agree about acoustic piano, I live in apartments so I can only play digital, but one incredible pianist in our town bought a room for teaching and practicing and Petroff piano, I'm so happy that i know him and can pay rent to play this piano, my soul just flying these moments. My piano teacher also have acoustic piano but it's old piano from USSR, anyway I happy to play any acoustic piano))) And this waltz is my favourite classical piano pieсe, i learned piano for 1 year now and just started to try this one by myself, hope I will not give up, my dream pieces to play are this waltz and oltremare by Einaudi. Thanks for reading my comment, sorry for my English, I tried my best

You really did so well, Emilija in the short time allotted. ❤👍🙌. There was definitely the time factor weighing in on your mind no doubt and you did succeed getting through the entire piece which is a true accomplishment. I know that your added “polish” will bring it to an even greater level of fulfillment than you may currently have without thinking about time. In that scenario you’ll let the piece flow even more fluently without thinking as you trust yourself to make it happen as you have done in past pieces! ❤🌈🎼🎵🎹

It takes me 6 weeks to learn 7 grader piece like this to memorise & play expressively, no mistake & confidently in the public… 2 week is impressive… well done…

That was so inspiring, including the messages at the end. Alfie is awesome, too. 14 years would be a more suitable time frame for me. 😊😊

Great Dog, Great You, Great playing on great keyboard. Looks like you already experienced piano player. Reading notes and playing almost correctly right away is my final target, and my experience is 2,5 month Also watched your pedal pushing time/moments looks like automatic in exactly right moment. Also great edit with tons effects just impressed ! Thank you . Please load more.

Hahaha ..yes it’s a tricky one .. but a nice one to learn . You play the little trills in the first section very well , which I find hard , as well as the middle part of the middle section . The third section is relatively straight forward once you get your head around it … well done .👏👏👏👏

I was preparing to learn my first Chopin etude and I was trying to pick one, because I think I can do it already. I'm a self taught pianist although I had classes for 3 years at a very basic level, but I had after that 3 years of no piano practice at all becuase I had to move to a college residence. After going back to normal I started to take more seriously piano (last year) and learnt some pieces I liked that have improved my technique and sound. Long story short I "almost accidentally" learned Chopin's op. 66 posth. "Fantasie Impromptu" and I can play it very clean and fast and expresivo. I would've never thought I could do that but I realised it's time to learn more challenging stuff and push myself more. I almost began learning the revolutionary etude but then you have inspired me to learn this beautiful waltz first, and I wanted to thank you for that, 14 days is not a lot and now I have exactly 2 weeks of holidays so... Also, are you from Spain?

I’m so inspired! I love the idea of documenting progress via video if only to inspire myself to keep going!! I would love to know all the Chopin Waltzes. I’ve only learned 3 so far. Very impressive work for just 30 minutes a day practice over 2 weeks👏👏👏
@EmilijaPlaysPiano2 ай бұрын
Thanks so much Nelson! Which of the 3 waltzes do you know? :) I love them all too... Currently learning Op.69, no.2 (in B minor). And I am vlogging the journey again! So stay tuned for a new video in a few weeks :)

I've been learning this for about 3 weeks now, and I think i've spent most of my time on the piu mosso section aha, it's definitely a solidly difficult chopin piece! Very impressive! And a question, does the book you were gifted have any special versions of Chopin's songs?

I learned it in 1 hour and I was upset at myself for not being able to learn it on the first reading... but whatever, different standards I guess. You might want to lay off the pedal when you're practising a piece, you're building up bad habits of skimming through important notes. The pedal is a trap when learning a piece.
