First time dad to be here, you made me feel even more excited to meet my baby. I appreciate the video, I’ve been looking for a diaper bag.

This exactly why I clicked and watched the entire video even though I have no children or need for a dad bag. You make the videos entertaining enough for a bag nerd to click even though this video is clearly not for me. 👏🏽👏🏽 great job Chase!

Where was this 10 years ago?! Great video. I love the idea of getting a bag that you’ll use as your kids grow up. Also, love the idea of connecting with your kids every day. Great challenge, connect even through the imperfection. 👍🏻

Glad to see these options! Shoutout to Tom Bihn's Large Snake Charmer as my core. Holds size 5 diapers and wipes and other necessities. Moves around to different bags, because I live the pouch lifestyle.

Best advice for a dad bag is make sure to carry a shirt for yourself to change into when you inevitably get poop or spit up on you. You usually have plenty of stuff for the kid but don't forget about yourself. A clean shirt can do wonders.

I was able to snag a Tom Bihn Parental Unit during the second run. They should make that bag full time. It is an excellent diaper bag.

As a parent of a potty training toddler currently, we are slowly phasing out of pure “diaper” bags and going more into the standard dad bag mode. Here’s what we’ve used: -Beis Diaper Backpack (wife’s pick and very mom bag that’s since gathered dust but had all the newborn/infant essential duties) -The Brown Buffalo Standard Issue 25L (still in use for overnight/multi day stuff or when grandparents are taking the toddler for the night and the elevated Jansport style means I can still use it once it’s finished with its tour) -Bellroy Venture sling 6L (this has been the workhorse recently for shorter day excursions. A few Pull Ups, some snacks and wipes and sunscreen and good to go, perfectly complemented by a stroller that can hold the sling as well as water bottles and any jackets or miscellaneous items)

Love this rundown. Speaking of slings - I finally checked out the 5.11 store near me and was pleasantly surprised. Scored a larger sling that doesn't look like I'm heading into combat.

Hi Chase, I think I belong to the backpacking fans. I'm looking for a rectangular backpack that will hold: art blocks, 2 bottles of water, a lightweight tripod, paints, a palette and still be lightweight. It will be very comfortable to carry. Waterproof. (I will be going on plein air ) Do you recommend any other backpack models ?
